Looking at trading my 2011 Malibu 247 550hp for a new G25 with a 550 ? Any thoughts and opinions on this? Just like to hear some pros and cons form people , I like to surf mostly , wakeboard and wakeskate but mainly its to help train my 3 kids behind . It will sit on a lift so I wont be towing it often .

Thanks in advance

if you don't like it you can always go back... maybe malibu will update the 247 by then. I don't think you can go wrong with either, but thats coming from a dreamer not first hand experience.

Got a good friend who left his 247 for a G23, and now bought a new G23 with the 550…if that helps any. I feel just having the NSS will make your life easier.

I love people who come to WW for boat buying advice....

Mine is as follows: buy the G. Your friends are sure to love the purple.

I love the G boats, but not really a fan of the purple metal flake!

My vote is keep the 247. It's a way better boat hands down.

Is it me or do the G, ASR and XSTAR look horrible on the trailers. Once in the water way better but just look like blocks and tanks.

Why not a 24 MXZ? I'm personally not a big fan of the purple but it's still a nice boat.

I actually don't think any of them look bad on the trailers. And actually now that I've gotten used to the bigger deeper mega boats. The longer 23-24ft lower profile boats from other manufacture look a little goofy to me. Specifically the 24mxz and 24 axis look to long.

Thats a pretty nice trailer only ti sit while the boat is on a lift. Maybe you can buy the boat without the trailer or sell the trailer and buy a cheaper one.

I will say Malibu has some of the most luxurious comfortable interiors of any boat out there.

How exactly do you think that Wizard pulled the dealer rights from Enzo? They don't get that choice. It is Nautique that decides who their dealers are. Not the other way around. How many boats a year did Enzo sell? How many boats a year does Wizard sell? This comes down to business.

I highly doubt the dealer will stick themselves with a triple axle purple and white trailer... that would be hard to unload without a matching boat.

My 16yr old daughter is constantly teasing me with this pic. I have to say actually like the color but when it came time to writing the check not sure I could do it in purple.

The G25 is an awesome boat. You can't go wrong. It's the only G I've ridden behind and the surf and wakeboard wakes are phenomenal.

It ain't trickin if you got it......

I would NOT get purple myself.
