is the only difference tht the 205 V is a V drive?

and any opinions on the 205...looking at a used 2000.

Hows the wake etc.

you're right, the 205V is a v drive, which is the same boat as an x2/x1. both the d and v drive have the same hull and when weighted right you get a very nice wake. I have a 1997 205 and i love it. has never left me dead on the water with over 900 hours.
