Okay, I've owned malibus/mastercrafts and now I have this 06 SANTE 210. Took it out for the first time, locked in at 10.5 mph, belly was empty, mid tank was half full, rear right locker (or left locker) full at 350 lbs with 2 guys sitting back on the right or left and it was a complete wash!

Never had problems with a surf wake so maybe I'm not doing it right for this boat? Do I need more weight? I tried to speed up to 12mph and it cleaned up a tiny but still washed out. I tried to put weight in the belly and it started cleaning up a tiny, but still washed out as well.

How do you weight these 06 210's??

I have an 03 SAN and put a 250 in the belly, 250 on the right side in the front, 750 in the right locker and stack 3, 250 lb bags about 3/4 full on the right side behind the driver. I also like to put about 150 lbs. on the left side and get a decent wake. Sounds as though you are not adding enough weight. The same setup will work to ride left foot forward just reverse the setup. I also ride at 10.3. My buddies ride at 9.5 and 9.8.

I think the best bet would be to lengthen your line out to about 70 feet or more, and then adjust the speed by about 12 mphs. You will then be enjoying one of the best wakes for most of wakeboat history.

More weight will help. You should look into the tank buster ballast upgrade.

You need 750 in ballast for whatever side you're trying to surf, plus whatever weight you have in passengers on that side of the boat.

9.8 mph.

750 in surf side locker, 650 in ski locker, 400 in nose under seats.

This is ideal surf wake for the early SAN hull

I suggest using a GPS to check your speed. My buddy got a new AXIS this weekend and we were riding at 12.3 according to his speedo which I suspect was factory set 2 mph fast.

750 in the rear, 400 on the seat in front of that, roughly 300-400 in belly, and a few people on the surf side in the bow. PP set between 10-11mph depending on how many others in the boat. You can also see by the wash trail that I'm pretty much driving a straight track. Don't have to turn the boat to get the wave, but it is listed heavily.

Also when you say belly was empty, but "mid tank" was half full, are you referring to the same tank? Unless you have custom ballast there are only 3 hard tanks on the 210. 2 in the rear, 1 in the belly. Bow weight gives the wave length and push typically, transom weight gives it height. Find the balance and you'll get a good wave.

Just got an 06 210 and ride without the rope at 9.5-9.8 mph with stock port tank full (260#), belly tank full (330ish#) and 3-4 on port side of boat (driver has to sit on observers seat or it loses some push). Obviously more weight is ideal, gonna replace rear hard tanks with 750s and piggyback the 500 integ bow bag off belly tank over winter time. Keep in mind prop rotation makes the port side easier to surf.
