Im just wondering if anyone has an opinion on if it's better to ride faster when your boat has a smaller wake? Would this help or not?

speed is all personal preference.... if you boat has a smaller wake, i reckon it might be best to shorten the rope. just play with the speed though, just see what speed has the nicest shape, then play with your rope length....

Slower is usually better as it causes the boat to sink more throwing a larger wake. As you add weight then add rope/speed.

When we have less weight, we run slower to get more wake. Sometimes you need to shorten up the rope, but sometimes not.
