I did just change the starting battery because the old one failed. trans lube full V drive oil full it has a Faria gauge & it shows only 11.4 volts I cant find any shop manual on this engine its a mercury 5.7 black scorpion that shows this warning horn or what it does any help will be great!

Have it scanned and see what code it is throwing and diagnose from there. The shop manuals are available direct from Mercury.

what year is your supreme? When I had my 06 V220, there was a recall on some sensor that kept sounding that same alarm. Brought it in, they swapped the sensor and I was all set.

it is an 06 i think it is a low voltage error the altinator only shows 11.5 volts .But if you can remember the sensor you had replaced that would help if it's not a voltage problem

Chuck most of the newer boats have a low voltage threshold warning that comes on at 11.5 volts to warn against damaging the computer. That is most likely what it is.

I had this problem on my '07 V 212,it ended up being the computer(ECU).I hope yours is a sensor, computer costs $1500.00

Agree with Brian - Have a 21v that threw the "check engine" error due to low voltage, which i thought was 11.3 on my boat. Your boat computer is like a windows computer - it needs some battery to gracefully shutdown, store engine run time, and other factors into memory. likley you'll have an alarm at the first stage and if it drops lower, around the 10.2 mark, the engine may shut off so the computer can shutdown (with some battery life to protect it). not sure if all boats have the engine shutdown limit or what the voltage is...but that is what mine will do.
