Just thought I'd share. I've been spending considerable time on the ts edge with wake jumps and increasing my comfort level all around - feeling pretty good. Did a few 1 wake ts 180s and then tried it w2w - stuck it on the first attempt and hit it 3 more times in the same set. Yeah! Progress is good. next: hs fs 180 and more work on the backroll. hahaha - I can't say I'm not happy about that Andrew. We actually haven't really stopped riding at all this season. I did go 3 weeks once (late January) without making it out, but when it's 75 degrees out, it's hard to avoid the water...

I'm jealouse of all you people riding year round. We in Utah get the snow(sometimes)for a different type of board. Still rather be on the wake board. keep up the good work on the 180's.

i was working on my ts jumps the whole day last week and stuck my 1st 180 wtw also. I agree, when it is 80 outside and the last is 78 it is hard to avoid.

Matt, that's kind of funny. You added to this thread when it was about 2 months old (from feb 22 to your post on April 17) however you dig on him for posting when it was 3 and a half months old. So, what is the rule? 2 months, 3 months, 4 months... the answer... Give the person a break, there is no formal rule as to when you can reply to something. If it is applicable, there is nothing wrong with replying rather than starting a new thread. Sheesh, forum police... can't we just talk about wakeboarding? Do you think that a hs or ts 180 is easier to acomplish first? Ive been attempting hs for two sessions and i always get the rotation and hieght strong, but when i land i end up sliding out and sitting down on my ass or something like that... any ideas (i can do one wake in and out 180's and ollie both swith and regular) thanks, jb i only have 3 - 4 months riding so i envy all of ya!

Toeside is way easier for your first 180. When you jump toeside, your board wants to go in that direction. I actually learned w2w ts 180's before a learned a straight ts w2w. You dont even have to have good pop or anything with it either. Just take a nice cut towards the wake, just enough to catch a little air. twist at the hips and let go with your front hand. And the landing is much easier going toeside, because you are landing heel edge.

I guess, I should have clarified. That was instructions for doing a 1 wake 180. But that would get you comfortable landing it. Once you got that, then you want to take a progressive edge to go w2w.
