Hide is getting pretty good with the lens! Hope to get some decent pictures as soon as the rust comes off and learn this new board and new wake of the Moomba Craz.

She's been really trying to get better at it, and her improvement is showing. Would like to get her our of the boat and shoot from different angles.

anybody been to utah lake this year? We tried to go last night on saratoga springs side at pelican bay. We hit our prop in the marina shortly after leaving the trailer. I know its low but didnt think it was that low.

That sucks to hear Tings!

I haven't been to Utah lake in a few years, but I'm surprised it's as low as you say it is considering most of the lakes have been filling up nicely from what I've seen.

How long until your prop is fixed?

Had another buddy trash his rudder and prop last week on UT Lake towards the airport. Surprised how many people that don't know how shallow it is over there. We go there to anchor when the lake is full and it's 3' of hard sand for miles. People surfing right by us without a worry in the world, LOL. Tracy has the correct website to check the depth, no way in hell I'm going there till the water comes up... Way up!

Forgot to update that we finally got a chance to get the Craz out and full ballast. Problem was the water and breeze didn't cooperate with our plans. Will be adding a little more weight to the rear and will be 1640 lbs rear and 1200 front for a total of 2800. This wake has a ton of promiss and can't wait to get it out on epic water to really test out the wake. As you can tell in the pic my timing was very off for the first set and hit of the season and left way too early. What better way to break in a new board and boat but with a Tantrum... We're going to fight the crowds for the first time in 13 years since the wife got out of retail. Decided to catch up all 13 years in 1 trip and head to Lake Powell and the real crowds of Memorial Day.

Hey Ed,

Welcome to Utah! I normally don't ride on Saturday's because of the crowds, but tend to ride on Sunday early mornings. When are you normally able to ride? I ride up at Willard, so if you're willing to make the drive up, let me know.

That puts you in a better position. Buckeye here so if it was UM would be a tough sell.... I work crazy hours but try to get out every weekend unless I'm traveling for work.

Nope, should see the new sacks sometime later this month. Going to be a mean machine that's for sure.

Xsmall Hyperlite Era bindings in exchange for a pull. I miss having a cable park in my town and I haven't been behind a boat in over a year. I'm having withdrawals. I'm usually available weekdays, weekends...whenever. Thanks, Greg Murray 801-510-2283

Hey Greg, I got no use for an extra pair of bindings, but if you're still willing to throw down gas money like before for pulls you're always welcome.

My boat finally got some canvas from http://www.re-viveupholstery.com/ and all I can say is WOW! Glen and family really know what they're doing and wouldn't take my toys anywhere else to get canvas. Been missing the platform cover since my last boat and finally pulled the trigger. Glen is also working on a spare tire cover that will allow water to drain out 100% and keep the air flowing to keep the mildew out while keeping the strength of a full canvas cover. Hope to have pictures of this cover shortly and rocking it full time. Take a second and check out his website and see the work he does. Nothing better supporting local and small and hands down the best workmanship in Utah. Interior, exterior, flooring, audio, etc. they do it all. They did a complete interior for a buddies 03 Wakesetter LSV and man it's a work of art.
I've officially been Re-Vived

Why is that? Is the wake more rounded so no kick at the top of the wake?

Your wake is straight up and this will have what seems like a forever transition to the top. It was really a joke... but it's night and day between the shapes as you know.

If you're looking for something to do tomorrow, come on up to East Canyon State Park to watch the first wakeboard competition of the summer, along with watching Supra Boats / Jobe Wakeboards pro team rider, Taylor McCullough, do a demo session. There's even a wake surf demo.

Wakeboard competition starts at 9am and will conclude about 1pm. The Wake surf demo's are held in 2 different time slots. First is 10am, I believe, and the second one is in the early afternoon. The wakeboard comp is completely full, but there were still some surf spots still available. Cost is $40 a person to surf as many different boards provided and test out the latest Supra & Moomba boats.

My friend Stan Tanner in Wisconsin made me a DIY wake shaper for surfing and I finally got to tried it out for the first time last night. I'm pretty pumped with it since the older Nautique 210's are notoriously bad for surfing on the port side, and it was probably the cleanest 210 port side wake I've ever surfed on. Here's some pics. And dare I say the cost to put the unit together was no where near the $600+ price tags from other industry devices. No velcro on your gelcoat, it uses two strong suctions cups instead.

Anybody still riding this time of year and have room for another rider?
Live in Salt lake, but can meet at the lake or where ever.
Have all my own gear, good boat driver and always money for gas, bring beverages, whatever works. I lived in Florida for a long time, I'm pretty fluent with boating, wakeboarding, etc.
Haven't been out riding in a while and would love to get a little bit of water time in before the season drops off!

Deercreek was 70 Deg water and mid 80's air yesterday. The crowds were way down and after the holiday it will seem like a switch was shut off to boating. I can't wait to have the cold lakes back and not much traffic.

Hey guys.. long time no WW.. I have been a bit flat out and lost my password but all reset now.

Hope all is well in UT, I assume it is that sad time of the year when the boats are being winterised and boards put away... for Rich and Mike there is the excitement of the snow starting. I tried to go snowboarding in Aus a month or so ago.. let's just say I should have borrowed some skates from Ry rather than taken my board.

Thanks for the bday well wishes Ryan, sorry it has taken a little while to come back to you.

Funny enough the good boat riding is coming to an end here as well as winter finishes up. In summer in Perth the winds pick up, easterly in the morning and then a howling south wester in the arvo. Google the Fremantle Doctor and you will see what I mean.

So more cable riding for now, which is good times.

Had some epic winter sets.

Put some photos below of a recent winter arvo.

Hope Chase has recovered from seeing a new Keith edit on line.

Stay in touch

Hey Scotty!

Nice to finally hear back from you! How's the family? We miss you here.

We rode yesterday on Rich's boat and conditions were epic. Fall riding here in UT is the best. Water temps are high 50's to max of 60F right now. But it's been sunny which makes the air temp a bit warmer and more comfortable. Air temps have been up and down but overall, been a good Fall so far.

I start traveling this week for work so my boat may be getting winterized in about a week or so when I get back from my first trip.

Those are some epic conditions you got to ride in during your winter. How have you been loading down you VLX? Any chance of a work trip back to UT coming up? Dale had me all excited last year, but bummed your trip got cancelled.

Anyways, stay in touch and hope to see more posts from you. Aloha!

The riding season has come to a halt for us. Had to turn in the Supra for Marine Products to service and winterize it. Not having a drysuit also put a damper on fall riding. Probably one of the best seasons with family and friends and all thanks to Randy, Jeremy, Skiers Choice and the entire team at MP. I have seen some really good pictures come over social media on the true Northern UT crew still hard at it. Sure looks like somebody has a DIALED 02 SANTE! Here's the last shot I got of the SC550 from our last trip to Lake Powell.

(For Sale 25 hours, $95k at MP)

Hey Scott, good to hear from you! We're still riding it out for a little bit longer. My goal is always to make it to 11/1. I have a garage I can heat my boat in, so the sky might be the limit. I don't have a dry suit anymore though, but I do have a 4/3 with all the perks ready to go. 3/2 is still working for now though.

Crazy rule for being at a lake...

They probably have that rule because they will have their own concessions, and maybe that's a part of the deal with the Box Elder County (to keep alcohol consumption controllable). I'll have a bunch of tickets coming my way too to hand out. Should be a blast since the PWT has been trying for so long to come to Utah. They just need to get a couple of weed cutters for the lake and it should be a sick site to host a comp.

Hey Ry,

Which line are they going to run? In front of the road or to the far corner and back? Weed cutters will be nice for sure. I've only been to Mantua 3 times, but I could see it working well for this. Are they going to be able to shut down the lake to keep it butter?

I was told that was the goal.

Hey Rich, don't know the exact line yet but since they want to have it catered for the spectators, I would assume it's going to run parallel to the dirt road/nearest shoreline. They will have it shut down to the public, that's one of the requirements for hosting a PWT event. However, I'm not sure if they will or won't allow personal boats on the lake to anchor outside the course so they can watch from the water. They use to allow it many, many years ago but not sure about now. My friend who works for the Tour will be at the boat show next week to organize details, etc so I'll check with her about that.
