Does anyone know how to drive on the lake? Pick a good line and stay with it, or share a line. Don't just drive all over(that is for idiot tubers). When your rider goes down dont do a huge power turn(i know it looks cool) all you do is burn gas and churn the water up for you and everyone else. When you turn around turn toward the shore. Just remember when you hate other peoples wake they hate yours, so be mindful. Oh yeah teach your buddies how to drive thanks.

Just getting someone who knows how to drive in a straight line seems like a challenge to me. Let alone worring about the other yahoos out there.

What really sucks is when your lake has a counter-clockwise rule... Nothing you can do about staying on a line then.... (yes, other rules still apply)

counter clockwise? I have never heard of that

Donald, out West (CO and CA are the places I've personally seen this) where water is in short supply, the lakes are madhouses that supposedly require rules to maintain a manageable and safer situation. They require you to go counterclockwise around the lake. I was pulling someone back and forth along a shore on the far side of the lake and got pulled over for it. We are spoiled by the amount of water here in the Southeast.

Yup, it's true. Many smaller lakes here in CA have bouys down the center, and you must keep them to your left. So it's like a big merry go round!

Same with the small lakes in downstate michigan. You drive in a big circle and when theres more that one boat doing this the water turns to crap real fast.

Yup! And add to it that there's the cigarette boats that do nothing but drive fast back and forth add to the chop!
I need to learn how to wakesurf just so my days not over in 2 hours after dawn!

that is what my home lake is.... keep the shore on the right. Water goes bad real quick and weekends are mess.. hit it early or late or on the week days or don't even bother.
