So as the title suggests, the TAPS trim plate (non-TAPS3 surf system) on my boat has decided to stop working. Boat is a 2013 Tige RZ4 that I'm the original owner of. Boat has not been used since late season 2016 and has been in storage for 2 years due to my wife being pregnant all last summer, and we just took it out for the first time this year yesterday. Figured there would be some gremlins to deal with, but this one may be beyond my skill set. Anyone ever worked on the TAPS system before? Wasn't sure if it was the switch built-in to the throttle, the cylinder on the plate, or something in between like a relay, pump, or wiring? Any suggestions on where to start would be greatly appreciated before I take it into the shop and get bent over the barrel on a service bill. TIA

I many be wrong but I’m pretty sure the older actuators are hydrolic, maybe try checking for fluid. Or try listening for any sound to see if it’s getting power.

On my 2005 22v with taps 2 I had that issue as well so I checked power and fluid and all was good but still no go... I was so frustrated and decided I would try and unscrew one of the solenoids that allows hydraulic fluid in and it purged a small amount of air and it worked again.

Thanks guys. I'm not hearing any sounds, but I was attempting to move it while it was in the water with the engine running. I'll try the purge method and see if that does the trick. Also planning on going under the console later today to check fuses. Beyond that, is there anything else I should consider looking into?
