I am new to boats but my son has been wake boarding a while, so I know we want to buy one. I have a 2008 Bayliner 205 bow rider. I have read a lot on the internet about wake towers. This one shakes too much, that one is not strong enough. I am a little lost in which tower or company to choose. I am going to install it myself and am very handy at things like this so that does not concern me. Can anyone help with how to narrow down which company to choose to get a good solid tower? If the problems that you hear of are usually because of installation then that would make m feel better. Just don't want to buy a hunk of metal that shakes and make s bunch of noise. Thanks for any hep anyone can lend. God Bless.

We have a bayliner 195 bowrider with the monster tower. We've been riding with it for a year and it feels like quality kit. No shaking or flexing during riding. Boat lives in the water (in the sea) and there's no sign of corrosion. I don't have much to compare it to but we definitely have no problem recommending it.

For a univeral/budget tower, I'd go with Monster. Stay away from Aerial if you want to get your tower this summer (most folks report terrible customer service and the towers are nothing special).... Some other universal options are Big Air, Fly High, and DIY. If you want to go custom fitted, I'd take a look at the Samson offerings. You'll pay more for the Samson, but they're rock solid.

I just bought Big Air at the beginning of summer, love it. It's sturdy/secure, doesn't break the bank, looks good, easy to install (all thought they all are probably about the same), folds down easily, and they're customer service is awesome.

I was in the same situation when I bought mine. For me the decision was made because I called them all and Big Airs customer service was miles ahead. They have everything you'll need, racks, speakers, Bimini, etc. If I were you I would wait a couple months, you will be able to get a package deal (tower, speakers, board racks) for the price of what you can get just the tower for now.

I have a moomba but here are a couple pictures of mine...

Hopefully this helps a bit, good luck in your search.

We had a monster on a searay for years and it never gave us any problems. No rattling, corrosion etc. Great product

Brian George, your Big Air tower looks very similar to my Aerial Airborne. Anyways, here are a couple pics of mine. The bimini top was custom made from Tower Biminis. The tower seems to hold up pretty well and doesn't rattle or shake while underway in the boat. Key it to make sure all the allen head bolts are nice a tight!

Ya they pretty much are exactly the same. My final decision was between Big Air and Aerial, just decided to go with Big Air because they were more helpful when I talked to them on the phone. You are absolutely right about the Allen bolts, although I think that's probably true for all aftermarket towers.

Your Bimini looks good. I got a deal on mine from Big Air or I would have spent a little more for one like that.
