Martiniques were a different hull. I believe the matiniques used the mid 80's Barefoot Nautique hull
with a smaller engine and a small open bow.

The late 80s model Ski nautique are slightly smaller than the 2001. The 2001 puts out a slightly wider wake, which really helps since the boat is already do small.

Leo, the late 80's Ski Nautiques are 2001s. That hull was 82-89 if I'm not mistaken. I know 89 is the end of the run. Early 80's Ski Nautiques are smaller and narrower.

From what I understand, the wake on the Marinique is more likely to be washy. That's what I hear and I can confirm it on the Martinique I test drove once but that was unweighted and on a boat with rot issues (so possibly waterlogged foam). Not sure if the wash can be controlled as I passed on the boat.
