Mike. I don't know who puts on nationals but I imagine you have to compete at those sponsored events to qualify for nationals. There are only a few wakeboard events that I know of in NorCal. One is the WWA events at Lake Villa Lagos. The Boarders-Paradise series at Bell Aqua, but it's only a one weekend event now. And another is wet thursdays in sacramento, but I don't know if it's still on this year. Ill post more info if you can't find any. Matt

As far as I know, anyone qualifies for Nationals. And Nationals is the qualifier for Worlds. I don't know of any NorCal events, but there is plenty in SoCal. Check the Canyon Lake Wake Board Club www.wakeboardclub.com, or the Wakesports Unlimited Series www.wakesports.com, or the Spring Valley Wakeboard Club tournaments. Try out one of these events and see how you stand up to the locals there, then buy a plane ticket and check out Nationals.

Matt, what else do you know about the Boarder's Paradise event? I rode in those last year, and I thought it was a really cool series of events. Last I heard, it was kind up up in the air for this year, but I haven't talked to Buffalow in a while, so it sounds like there is a plan now. Can you give any more info? Thanks.

I talked to the local boarders-paradise shop and they said instead of a series it was going to be a one weekend event this year with qualifying and stuff like that. It should still be pretty good. They didn't give the dates but I looked at westsideconnection.net and it gives the date as July 24-25 so I'm assuming that it's the correct date. Im going back to boarders paradise soon and will get more details but there is for sure going to be one weekend event. I also called marine max who puts on Wet Thursdays and they said that Buffalow and them were trying to put a series together that would be similar but it wouldnt be called the same thing. They are gonna email me with more info when they get it and I'll post it here or email anyone who's interested. Matt
