I am leaving for Vegas tommorrow. Gonna put some money down on the games. Right now the Saints are 3.5 point favorites and the Colts are 7.5 favorites. I am thinking about taking both favorites.
Also are there any other bets you guys think are good this week (over/under)? Thanks, Mike

I'm hanging onto my money this week. Its been such a crazy couple weeks. You got to think the Colts will cover that spread. But then again the Jets are on a real run.

What is the over/under on the NFC game? A lot of times when two powerful offenses get together the game is a good bet for the "under". It is an interesting trend to look at...

The over under is 46.5. It seems like these two teams should be able to make that number.

Colts will cover the spread.

And after Jared Allen snaps Drew Brees in half, that number is going to change rather quickly.

Well I just got back from vegas. We did all right ended up a couple a hundred ahead over all. I ended up taking the Colts and the spread reached 8.5 by the time I placed my bet. I was a little concened but it ended up OK.

Then I took the over in the Saints-Vikings game. I was a little concerned about this one too. Because like Rob above says when you think it is going to be high scoring it tends to be the opposite. But the number was 53 and I won that one.

The last bet I made was the one I had the most faith in. I took the Saints. They were 3.5 point favorites and they won by 3. THat was a little bit of a bummer but overall we had a lot of fun watching the games while we were playing in a poker tourney.

Last thing it you go to Vegas any time soon you need to check out the new hotel at the center. That place is amazing.

Hey Mike...How'd you do in the Poker tourney?

I played in the $1,000,000 Guarantee L.A. Poker Classic Tourney on Sat...Got my KK beat by Runner-Runner flush for my tournament life! I almost puked! Donkeys do exist outside of the internet! LOL

The poker tourney was alright. It was just a little 80 dollar buy in. It was great because I got my wife to play which was her first live tourney. I was actually surprised and how bad some of the play was. I would have thought play would be much worse online but I think it was worse live. I ended up getting knocked out in 13th out of 24. My wife ended up making it to the final 6. And they all decided for an even chop. She ended up with $252.

Dan do you play online at all? I am back to playing on line now that the government stuff has calmed down.

What was the buy in to the LA Poker tourney?

Yea...I play mostly on Stars but have a Full-tilt acct too. Look for me (Danswa). I definitely prefer live games though...easier to set a table image and make more accurate reads.

I joined L.A. Rounders and L.A. Poker Group on Meetup.com a few months back and between the two...I get enough home games to keep me busy. Although, I do pop in online every once in a while if I have nothing going on.

The L.A. Poker Classic $1,000,000 guarantee was a $335 buy-in. A few weeks ago I played a $70 Satellite and won $335 to use for a buy-in or keep. I was going to just keep the cash, but last tuesday, I played another 24-player tourney and won another $350 so I decided what the heck...Now I wish I would have saved the money though! HA! Oh well...

THere is a hundred dollar buy in the last sunday of each month at our local casino I am going to play in this weekend.
We just bought a house so I am a little short on cash but next year I am planning on going to the Lake Tahoe world series of poker circuit event. The buy in for the early events are between 250 and 500.

I put a hunderd dollars in poker stars about two months ago. And I am up a couple hundred. But I mostly just play 10 dollar sit n goes. Usually one single table and one multi table at the same time. Some of the beats on Poker stars can be very tough. Lots of runner-runner beats seems like. The home game scene for me has pretty much dried up. If you get up to the bay area let me know.

Yea...I am a firm believer that online play is kinda set-up to induce action and keep players that may not be the greatest players logging in. My friend told me about a bad beat he took the other night where he flopped Quad 9's...He had a pocket pair and flop was A99...other guy pushed and the board ran JJ and he lost to Quad Jacks if you can believe that!!! Sick!

I def want to try to play some larger tourneys this year...I figure winning one could help make it into a career if the payout is large enough. But, who knows. I may not be at that level yet judging by how I busted in the 2nd blind level this weekend! HA! ;)

I will definitely hit you up when I'm up your way! TTYL Brotha!
