Anyone put some sets on a pair of these? Blew up my liquid force watsons at the end of last summer and am trying to get into a pair of bindings that won't murder my wallet and these seem to fit the description. Trying to decide between the 2014 LF Raphs & the Humanoid Odyssey boots. I am in CT so no, I cannot try any of these out because we have no pro shops.

Hey Dan,

I can't tell you anything about the boots. But if you're in CT you actually do have a few options in terms of pro-shops. The Connecticut wake community is pretty siloed, but growing. Hopefully through forums like wakeworld and facebook groups like CT Wakeboarding we can better organize and accelerate the rate at which people in CT will be exposed to the sport.

In the way of pro shops;
A and S Boats http://asboats.com/boats/
Ask for Charlie! Great guy. His shop used to host a stop on Dave Briscoe's Summer Session's tour

Shred Candlewood http://shredcandlewood.com/
Ask for Travis. Another awesome rep who organizes multiple camps and events every summer on Candlewood Lake.

Brownstone Wake Park. http://brownstonepark.com/activities/wakeboard/
Ask for Mike. The park has come a long way since it opened about 7 years ago. What used to be 3 winches and a tinny has grown into 3 system 2.0s and a giganitc Unit XL kicker. I know they carry Liquid Force and I'm sure he'd love to get you some Raph Bindings.

Try to support local pro shops when you can and be sure to join that fb group! a lot of us post edits of our riding and it's great to see what else is going on in the state.
As for the Humanoid Boots....http://blemboard.com/

If i had to choose i would go with Humanoid all day. Odyssey or Howls, both are awesome. And Vinny is right, if you want to go with last years bindings go blemboard.com all the way

Hey Vinny, I am familiar with all of those sites and most of those people. Just not worth my time to drive 1.5+ hours round trip to maybe find something that I might kind of like.

Please buy local hahaha
The economics of action sports are so fragile.
We don't want wakeboarding to follow snowboarding's legacy in this sense http://www.angrysnowboarder.com/burt...t-falling-yet/

I know a lot of these pro shops are right on a lake, bring your boat and maybe make a demo day out of the trip? or grab a few friends and rent their boat for a sesh while trying out the new gear? or find a third with the gear you want to try?
I don't mean to like harangue you, I just got super bummed when I saw your " I am in CT so no, I cannot try any of these out because we have no pro shops." sentence.

Here's a few more!
Lakeside Watersports http://lakesidewatersports.com/
Ask for Mike or Chris!

GSurf at Gerard's Water's Edge Marina
http://www.gerardswatersedge.com/ & https://www.facebook.com/pages/Gsurf...65?sk=timeline

Action Sports http://www.actionsportsct.com/
Ask for Mr. Segal

The longer the drive, the more opportunity for you to do marketing for them in your area, ie, discounting....... market yourself and support the shops.

Vinny, I know just about everyone who runs the shops and whatnot. I know that most of the time what they carry is junk and more often then not, is in the wrong size. I live on lake Lillinonah and spent 7 years working at Echo Bay. Very familiar with the scene and the people.

I just got a pair of the Odyssey boots and I really like them. They're stiffer than my 2010 Watsons, but those were pretty old and broken in, so these should loosen up a little bit once they're broken in too.
