Wow I bet there's no tubers on that lake! That is probably during one of the past droughts where the gators all were wondering around looking for water. Either that or there is a poodle convention taking place in the woods.

What's your point? We have dominion over alligators and every other animal. Are we supposed to just let any wildlife multiply at will uncontrolled and let the chips fall where they may? You're on a slippery slope dude. I'd advise you to check yourself before you get nuked by most on this forum.

Hey Mark, to make reparations to all of the gators he and humans have harmed, luker is going to toss his child to the gators to say sorry.

Just got a call from my neighbor...there apparently is a gator sitting on my patio. I really hope he isnt in my new adirondack chairs i just built!

Looking forward to getting home and checking it out. Now it explains why our white ducks keep coming up missing.

Its been a active year your the gators.

Today an alligator attacked an elderly woman in a canal near a Leesburg FL. area mobile home park and ripped off her arm. Carol Hough, 84, was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center. Alligator attacks are rare in Florida, but not unheard of. Earlier this summer, a teenager was attacked by an alligator while swimming in a river; he lost part of his arm in that attack. Also this summer: An air boat captain leading tourists on a tour of the Everglades lost his hand when an alligator lunged from the water and bit it off. (He is suspected of illegally feeding the alligators at the time.)

Looks like some Mississippi guys caught one for the record books- 700lbs!

Also quoted in the article "American alligators, whose range is from the southern U.S. throughout much of Central America, were once hunted to near-extinction but now thrive.

The recovery of the American alligator in Mississippi from an endangered species to a population that now has reached levels to sustain limited hunting status is a true wildlife conservation success story."
