custom kmt6 speaker cans?

im thinking of getting these kicker kmt6 tower speakers, good price and over all they have good reviews. my boat is all white and blue and really dont like the look of the black plastic that these speakers come in.......

my idea is since it is plastic would it be possible to sand it smooth and spray paint blue or white and seal it with lacquer or something? or what would be the best way to go about doing this if its possible

and has anyone tried this with luck and what steps did you take and post some pics if possible

Go to Speakersox.com. They have custom neopreme speaker covers for the kmt6 speakers. You can get them in whatever color you want and you can two tone them to match the blue and white color scheme. They are meant to be left on the speaker all the time too. Check em out

I agree with kent go with Speakersox.com. Ive got the kmt6 tower speakers and have red speaker sox on them.
