Washing the boat while on the boat lift has always been a pain. Looking to make something so I can have a garden hose at the dock to wash the boat down. Anyone do this?

Thinking of just getting a submersible pump (like a sump pump) and connecting a garden hose, hooking up to boat lift battery, and dropping in the lake.

Seems counter productive to me to wash your boat with dirty lake water lol

^^Kind what I am thinking!! Our lake is pretty clean, but I still wouldn't want to wash my boat with it. Its also pretty hard water judging by the water spots.

Don't just spray it down with lake water, get out the towels and some spray, like Boat Bling, or Babe's or something. At the very least wipe it down with some vinegar in a spray bottle to get rid of the water spots.

Our lake water is really clean, Keuka lake upstate NY. Usually we fill the bucket up with lake water anyways and add some biodegradable boat soap. I'd still use the bucket, but just the hose to rinse it off afterwards.
