I have a Lake Powell trip coming up end of June. Has anyone been there lately? The water level is at 42%. I would imagine there is many new prop killers. Also, towing the wakeboard boat behind the houseboat, how strong of a rope? With a dripless packing system I read somewhere you need to make sure the prop is not spinning or it will burn up. How do you do that? Thanks.

Here you go...... Was there last weekend. Elevation should be 3600 by end of June...you'll be in good shape.

There are always prop killers in powell. When the water is low it exposes things, when it's high it barely covers up things. The great thing is different water levels allow access to different features making the lake different each year

we call exposed rock "whales" on powell, just look for the changing water color, dark to light. as far as towing , can you use the boat as a scout boat? . if your renting or have a houseboat with limited fuel , I would use one of the houseboat lines to tie off your boat. I have 1400 gallons on my houseboat so I do not tow uplake and coming back we leave with the houseboat and once underway, we get to antelope point marina load and clean the boat and still have around half hour before the houseboat gets in . water level will be fine, what marina are you leaving from??
