Just Felling the Pull gets me going...

I would say for me the best, most rewarding part of wakeboarding is learning something new, trying it over and over again until you think it's impossible, then you set something down clean and ride away. no other feeling like it.

I'm with Andy. There are so many fun aspects to the sport but the feeling you get landing a new trick is awesome.

^ yup. Helping someone get up and ride for their first time is huge. Not to mention a boat full of good peeps, some flat water and sunshine. Mmmm mmmm.

Winter sucks!

You know wakeboarding is in your head when you say you are "board at work" instead of "bored at work".

Or in everybody's head when nobody until you catches it.

Butter water with no one but you out there, quiet, so quiet that you can hear the water coming off the board. It's the only time I get peace....

the feeling of riding and just having a good time of course but a big part for me is meeting all the rad new people that come my way thanks to wakeboarding.

All of what was said above along with being out on the boat with family and friends. Nothing like a day of hanging out and catching up.

The feeling you get when you feel your body getting booted off the wake! Man I love that adrenaline rush!

When I opened this; I was expecting a boat bun style thread... You can imagine my dissapointment.

Miller - You paint a nice picture...

I love the new trick feeling too, especially when the boat is fully aware of the fits it's given you to land it and celebrates with you (prob. half b/c they are amped for you and half b/c they are so tired of watching the same fall over and over, haha).

Wakeboarding has definately brought some awesome people into my life and a summer full of the best memories, but of all the great things we pull from wakeboarding, landing a trick for the first time is the most addicting feeling i've ever had. Its a personal accomplishment that only you make yourself. The second best thing, seeing your friends just as stoked for you as you are. The support and fun that wakeboarding entails is very hard to find anywhere else....

Tie for me

Just riding around and carving can never get old.

But the feeling of landing a new trick is right up there with it

Josh said just what I was gonna say. I will never get tired of just cutting around on the water, but the feeling of landing a new trick is one of the best. I still remember how I felt when I landed my first invert, a tantrum. Nothing like it in the whole world!

just riding and carving.. learning new tricks.. blasting into the flats with nothing but a super clean grab.. gettin on sum glass.. cuttin out on your toes and draggin your fingers across water.. nothing better

Here I have one more, or two. When your out riding butter & the water is clear and the sun is overhead. As you look down you can see the hydrilla & the fish swimming around. Or when the boat makes it's way back to where your rollers are rolling the butter it just looks like a sheet of plastic & you could just step off & walk across the water (Oh yea, I think they call that barefooting)
Old     (loudontn)      Join Date: Feb 2005       01-13-2010, 9:03 PM Reply
When the boat is getting up to speed, cutting into the butter waiting on the perfect pass to kick in, just playing around. That's what I miss right now.

The best life feeling i have ever had (not just on a board) was landing my first backroll. I tried 200+ times over a year or two with my fist trys on a trick ski and when i finaly stuck it (on a wakeboard first).........damn. Since then landing new tricks has bought a similar feeling but not as good as that fist invert.

I love it all. hanging with friends, landing new tricks, carving on glass, going an inch higher than youve ever been before, feeling one with the board, everything.

that being said it also has the ability to piss me of more than anything else in the world when i can't ride from injury or i havnt got a board or i have a really bad set etc.

For me It's the motion or water. The relationship between the water and me, becoming the water, being at one with the water..yes Yoda..the water I am. LOL
I just love riding, carving, W2W's, the speed..it consumes my daily life. Jet

Being on the boat in the hot sun with friends and family. Lake camping, seeing my kids play in the water, the feel of butter on a hard heel side cut, the pop off a wake. Basically just being out on the water with no worries!!!

Definitely, for me, has to be riding with my dad and friends. Its just us pushing each other with new tricks and just hanging out and catching up. and when i land that new trick....nothin can compare to that....

Best part for me is being able to spend time with friends, surrounded by the beauty of mother nature. I feel very lucky to spend the amount of time that I do on the lake with others. When I get up on the shred stick, it's the only time when I feel that I can forget about every little worry in my life. Such an incredible feeling. We are all blessed to share in this.

I've got one that hasn't been mentioned. I love the feeling of driving the boat away from the dock or shore just after launching it, and slowly cruising out pass the No-Wake zone into the lake. That relaxing feeling of the start to what is going to be a great day, always makes me smile.

ha bu coo that sounds nice!

Reminded me of what a family friend once said was there favorite part.
They said after a hard weeks work there favorite part was finaly arriving at the lake on the friday evening and cracking open the first beer. At that instant they finally relax forget about work and chill for a weekend of fun.

Went to Miami for Christmas break, took two sets, water temp 70dgr. air 80dgr. Then, took a break, while I’m sitting in the hot tub I'm thinking to myself, I could do this all day long , then, my friend woke me from my "Zen" state of mind, "Joe", "lets go" and we went and got a third set in. The rest of the trip was downhill after that first day; Miami South Beach, Miami Dolphins football game with seats right in front of the cheerleaders, various waterfront restaurants, surfing on a flowrider(where the bikini's just wont stay on). Nothing compares to wakeboarding!

A lot of good things covered with butter runs, friends and family, and nailing new moves but what I probably like most about the whole experience is the rush and focus you get riding. It is just about impossible to think about work or the other hassles of life with a board strapped on.

I guess another great thing is seeing others, especially my kids, progressing and having fun. Now I am wishing it was April!!!

I just love everything about wakeboarding...good clean fun with friends and family that everyone can enjoy...hitting the water early in the morning of right before dark and riding butter!...watching a friends learn a new trick, taking crash after crash, then being able encourage them not to give up,, then they hit it...then when your buddy has a new trick, you got to learn a new one too...ha(can't let them get too far ahead)...and then of course personally hitting a new trick!!!! man... I can't wait...

Landing a new trick and taking break from reality where you get to hang out with good friends, family, and the amile on your kids face as they are stoked to be in the boat and water.

Crossing over the last big hill, seeing the lake, and the kids getting excited to get in the water.

There is nothing like pulling down the boat ramp and seeing a lake of glass. Then firing up the boat and spending the afternoon with family and friends. I am hoping the next 4 months fly by.

I think one of the best anticipation drives is to lake Powell. After 10 hours in the car you come aroud a bend and there she is in all her glory. Your about 5 miles away but you know you are about to spend the best week of your life with her.
