We can't decide which colors to go with. Interested in your opinions. Please vote - Boat 1, 2, or 3 Boat 1: Boat 2: Boat 3:

Dave, it is so hard to tell. I don't think I like the bottom one but it could look awesome on a real boat.

Dave, I really like the blue in boat 1. Just throwing out other ideas but if I were you, which I am not, though I would make that thin bottom stripe blue and possibly make the triangle thing at the back black.

Thanks for all the input. I'll need to check where the actual water line is. I have the hull very dark for a reason. In the Puget Sound, after I scrub the boat (at least every 2 weeks) - it still leaves the bottom of the boat light brown. On my current boat, I have to use a super harsh hull cleaner chemical to get the hull white - normal scrubbing doesn't do it. I am hoping to reduce my use of the hull cleaner - and my time spent crawling under my boat choking on hull cleaner fumes.

Dave, You also should again consider doing bottom paint too -- with the dark hull and dark bottom paint, you'll barely notice it's even there...

Where in Puget Sound do you ride? I also have a salt water X15 that I use on the west side of Bainbridge Island. I vote #1 because dark colors are so hard to keep looking good in salt. The back of my boat is black and I wouldn't do black again for a boat that is used primarily in salt

SaltwaterX15 Does the black look bad above water or below? I am on Fox Island. I was thinking black on bottom and a lighter color on top - would work best. Black would hide the algea coloring and the lighter colors on top would not show the dried up salt and water spots as bad. Do you agree? I was thinking black bottom with white top would be ideal for keeping clean and not fading - but black and white is too boring for me.

Black below the water line should be fine. I would do exactly what you described, dark below the waterline and a lighter color above. Brett-The summer was great and I'm really happy with how the stereo turned out. Thanks for the batteries by the way, didn't have any voltage problems this year

On the X15 they will do a 1" gel color all around the boat above the rub rail.

than don't do khaki....and I would stay with white accents/bullseye/logo/etc. you don't want to get too many colors going....black hull, blue main, white above rub....I would go solid hull/main, white accents, white above rub....but who asked me?!?!
