So rumor has it that Mastercraft pulled their dealership from On The Edge Watersports in San Diego.

I know they are also carrying the Centurion line of boats but I'm not too sure what is going to happen with that.

Anyone else out there know what's going on?

aki,

it is offical that they are no longer a mc dealer..it is too bad it took mc to figure this out..

other dealers (not metioning any names) might want to learn from their mistake..

Why? Elaborate what happened.

I spoke to Paul In svc last week.
They are still going to be servicing boats and even can do warranty work on MC's, but for sure are no longer selling MC's.
Not sure about the Centurion side of things.

So will there be a replacement MasterCraft dealer for San Diego?

Word is that California Skier may build in North county Oceanside area.
Just a rumor right now.

kevin,

thanks for the heads-up.
I have already received a email from OTE....

I will personally follow-up with a phone call with them regaurding the situation when I was looking to buy a x-2 in september 04`.

it would be uncool to go into the details since there was no harm (there was a foul which resulted in a loss sale for mc)

btw, in really thinking about this..this is why wakeworld and other fourms are around...free speech and actual experience from others..

all gramps did was ask some questions...nothing more or less..they were not accusational in any way or matter...

last time i checked america was founded on free speech..i have read many posts giving props to dealers for great service(no one seems to mind)..

the opposite is also true, if a bad experience happens (or quite a few as it appears in this situation). then it should be known so others dont experience it when buying $55k to $100k boat...

in fact, it is really to bad that boat buyers in san diego who want to buy from a "complete full fledged REAL DEALERSHIP" have to drive 1-2 hours north (california skier for mastercraft in elsinore and california correct craft in norco)...

i dont know what is with the sub-optimal dealerships in san diego among the big 3, but it really surprises me (this is my opinion... ymmv)

for a nautique they could go to m2o marine off the 15 and camino del rio south....

in south so cal....would strongly suggest to compare california correct craft to m20 before you buy...

i have heard many good things about ote service department from the mc owners i know and good things about bu service (despite being all the way up in riverside !!!!)..

service at m20...well...i wont go into the details (3 strikes your out- in my book)... but i'll go with pacific coast marine for maintance and california correct craft for warranty..

I don't like hating on anyone, but both my experience where bad there also. I was ready to by a new boat in 04, had $50,000 plus to spend and was told I could only get a x7 or a 02 x Star for that amount. So I bought a band new VLX, which there where was problems, but I did get the boat after working with the owner. Then a couple of months ago I was ready to buy a new Enzo, but the demo was depressing.
ENOUGH SAID.

I bought a 03' air nautique 210 from them at a good price, and so far no problems.
