I saw this article on the Alliance Wake website, and thought they missed with the tag line a little bit. I did not read the full article in the mag, however, from what they had posted on the side, it seems to be that it should have been called The Death of Contests. The vibes from most of the riders read like they were leaning away from contests due to the changes in prize money distribution, cost to get there, and the actual chances of winning. I am not a contest rider myself, but I thought it would be good to hear from other am riders. Whats your take on the article, your thoughts on the state of freeriding vs contest riding, and any predictions for the future?
Here is the link to the article, its worth a read.
