I currently reside in Southern British Columbia. It would be close for me to purchase a boat in Spokane or Coeur d'alene than it would to go to Kelowna. Just wondering if anyone knows of any reputable dealers in these areas and if anyone has brought a new boat back across the border? Is it worth my while to go across the border? Thanks in advance for any insight.

I have purchased several boats, trailers, cars etc in the US and imported them into Canada. Boats and Trailers are easy.... There used to be a large price difference between Canada and The US but that isn't really the case these days and in alot of cases you will end up spending more after exchange and import fees and shipping so it really just isn't worth it anymore..

I would search BC and Alberta and just deal locally. I have been finding many used boats the same price here and I don't have to worry about exchange. The one big advantage to the US is there is many more to choose from south of the border if you are looking for something specific.

I agree. I bought in USA last year but it was a matter of selection. Not much savings unless the dollar moves another 7-8 cents. Look across Canada and be patient. I have seen a few good ones since I bought that I would consider. Maybe mine will be for sale soon if I find a good deal in the off season. Btw I bought in courdalene and the process is not complicated. . Do you know exactly what boat you want?

Couldn't disagree more with buying boats in the states. Some of the local dealers in the lower mainland pf vancouver have better deals than the boats in the US. Dollar for dollar. Then you add in the exchange rate duty and the cost to have one delivered. Its a no brainer. You have to fine the right dealer of course. And you will also void any warranty bringing the boat to canada

Completely agree that buying in the states isnt that great anymore for us Canadians. I spent last fall/ winter and into spring looking all over the US for a deal. In the end i bought a used RZ2 from a guy from Calgary. A similar boat would have probably been 5k more had i bought one down south and imported it. What i found was all the really good deals were more in the southern states and then the shipping ate up any savings. There are some great deals to be found but they are few and far between. I also found far better prices in BC than in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Too many young guys with oilfield cash to waste on boats.

I'm the wrong person to comment because I strictly wakesurf so centurions work great for that purpose for myself. Best bang for your buck would be the SS210. 5 yr warranty and its a great all around boat. They also have allot of barely used 2014 boats that they offer a 5 yr warranty on. Un heard of a dealership doing this. Axis is another good bang for your buck.

I am not affiliated with the dealer in any way. I just found that their prices and warranty didn't even come close to other dealers we went to in the area.

Lots of great boats out there in that price point..
Moomba
Tomcat
Tige
Ect...ect

Extreme Boat Sports is a great dealer here in the lower mainland and they carry both Supreme and Centurion as well as they get a lot of used boats in. They actually got their start in bringing boats up from the US and reselling. Your other dealers are:

http://www.nautiques.ca/cs/ - MB
http://www.performancewatersports.com/ - Malibu
http://tige.ca/ -Tige

It all depends on what your budget is. I would also wait over the winter and wait until closer to spring when the CL adds will start to pop up more. I just bought a newer boat last spring here and I still look on CL weekly to see what's around and what boats are worth. Be careful though. Although some people paid a lot of money for a boat up here I still don't believe an 07 XStar (or similar) could be well over $ 50k. I've seen one still for just under $ 80K which is stupid.
