How is the Oroville afterbay this time of year...?

Hey Norcal peeps... I'm in Folsom/Sac town but have never been to the Oroville afterbay. I work up that direction and a few work buddies are meeting there this weekend... Any advice or comments on area, water conditions, concerns, etc.? Just wanna know what to expect... Thank you!

Water temp is the similar to the surface water of lake oroville, its average is around 15ft in depth. If its over 10mph, it isn't that great unless you drive on the side of either levee depending on the wind. Not to many people go in the fall/winter/spring, so its best around that time.
