They'd both have decent ski wakes

It's not that expensive to get two fat sacs and a pump. Here's a pic from this weekend. 1984 SN2001 w/800lbs ballast and 3 people in the boat.

lol. I love how nobody (except for Sander) answers his direct, yet simple question. Everyone just offers up some random piece of information or suggestion. So in the spirit of solidarity, I will throw out one more useless opinion as I do not know the answer to the question:

You should get an MB... you can fill or empty in less than 60 seconds, blah blah blah, bang for buck something.....

I have a 97 Sport. Unweighted, the wake would be terrible for boarding. Cant answer re the 2001 Nautique. Going down the route of useless info, I have around 1400lbs in the Sport and the wake is as large as I need.

They will probably be similar. The sport probably makes a slightly larger wake due to it being marginally bigger/heavier?

With regards to everyone saying stock wakes without weight suck or unridable... My buddies stock 2001 wake doesn't keep me from doing all my tricks, and it shouldn't stop you either... Byerly didn't even use a pole back in 95... Learn how to generate pop on a small wake and you will boost higher than you ever thought possible on a big wake. I see so many people riding lazy these days on big wakes, but if only they had a G23 then they'd boost 7 foot airs...

Sorry for the hate, haven't ridden lately and lots of rain in the NE

I find it quite an odd question, what super car is faster with no petrol, the Ferrari 456 or Porsche GT2?

2001 will be better unweighted because it's smaller, but with weight it cannot get as big as the sport can. I have a 95 sport, and it throws a great wake, but you have to add a lot of weight to get the pro level wakes like the old 210 has. If it was a choice between boats, definitely choose the sport, and just get the extra ballast bags and pumps.
