What does your arm look like? I have seen some close calls from my mirror, and I have heard of some pretty nasty shoulder injury from an arm through the handle.

My cousin fell and had the same thing happen a few years ago when we were boarding at the same time...He bent the handle so far it wasn't even funny...and it kicked his ass too!

Tore off his $300 watch and almost ripped his wrist off while taking the watch.

Taylor. Yea that sounds accurate. I wouldn't be suprised if your entire arm turns blue/black. thats why you have two arms anyway.

I saw Nick Davies doing roll to blinds all day long with the handle clinched in the bend of his elbow. I bet it hurt if he fell like that.

done that before major tears in the shoulder took a year to fully recover.

My brother did that last year. Now he has a large indent in his arm where the doctor said it was fine, but in all reality looks like it tore something in his bicep. Anyways, anyone know of a handle that reduces putting your arm through it? He's a little gun shy now since it happened twice in 2 weeks but only the last one did him in.

I was with Taylor at Gravity Research Compound this weekend when he did it and i was filming and when he fell I paddled over in the conoe and thought the handle looked weird so I picked it up and I couldn't beleave it. the rope snapped and it was hard to belive that the handle bent in half like that. I couldn't even bend it back. Me and taylor are making a video with the footage of the whole weekend today so i will post it if i have the fall on one of the tapes.

how the hell do you break a spectra rope? it had to be frayed somewhere. those have a breaking stregnth of 3000 pounds and up. your arm is more likely to come off then break that!

When I WAS a three event skier, I saw a girl go off the jump head first and her head went through the handle and dragged her. If it was'nt for the driver being very well trained she could have died. I believe all she got out of it was a broken jaw. That is part of the reason jump handles are small now (if any of you have seen a jump handle).
