Does anyone have any wakeboard wake reviews? Most I see are about surfing.

We demoed one earlier this year with stock ballast (rider and 2ppl in the boat), but the water wasn't ideal. The limited stretch I got only allowed a couple jumps. My opinion was that it was a rampy wake...fun, but lacking a little lip/kick at the top. It'd be nice to know if anyone has more considerable hours wakeboarding behind it and if adding additional weight might put a little lip at the top.

For comparison, we also demoed an XT20 and I thought the wakeboard wake was fun stock with 3 people in the boat. It had a nice little kick at the top.

We're coming from our 205V, which I love the wakeboarding wake. So...if we can find a suitable replacement at an acceptable sticker shock level, the 205V might show up in Current Watersport (currentws.com) inventory...in case you'd be interested.

That is an absolutely gorgeous 205v

Did you ride with factory settings or did you override them and fill the tanks all the way up?

I assume factory settings.

Let me clarify...I'm pretty sure the recommended fill times were programmed in, so maybe not the factory settings, but the recommended settings. I don't know if that got them full.

Nothing to add on the XT21, but that is probably one of the prettiest 205V's I've ever seen.

I've ridden behind one. We had full stock ballast, 22.5 mph with wakeplate all the way up and 2 people in the boat. The wake was really clean. Definitely a more mellow transition than a 205v, but that seems to be more and more common of modern wake boats. Good size wake with the setup we had, but certainly not the size of the wake monsters from some of the other brands. Overall I thought it was a fun wake with a lot of potential with some extra weight. No doubt it will stay clean at pretty low speeds no matter how much weight is thrown at it. I'd love to see what it would look like with a boat full of people!

Thanks for the input (and compliments).

The XT20 seemed to have a little kick at the top, which made it fun. We just don't have the time/experience with the XT21 to know if it's what we like in a wakeboard wake.

I guess the positive is that we have the original X-Star hull to keep playing behind until we're sure.

Not much to add on the XT21 but did cross shop the NXT before we bought our Supra SR. Boating on griggs in Columbus keeps us under 22' and limited options on boats. With 3k of ballast and a deeper hull than most sub 21' boats it was an easy choice. Might want to check one out before pulling the trigger.

When riding behind the xt21 with only a few people I recommend to fill the ballast all the way up and it will add more kick
