Hey all . . . What is a fair price for a 1996 Nautique Super Sport with only 135 hours on it? It has all options, including first generation flight control tower, two racks, light bar, tower speakers (6), subwoofer, amp, stereo w/iPod hookup, heater, shower, ballast, new interior, high performance prop, bimini, custom cover, etc. Thanks!

18k +/-

we bought a 96' Supersport 3.5 years back with 250 hrs (50 on new engine, long story), the boat was 100% perfect condition.... but was bone stock from 95 and we paid 18k.... that was before a and whatnot.... I would pallpark it anywhere from 16-22k

hours are too damn low! That would be low hours for a 2007!

Nick is right about the price. And about the hours - what if the person is from New York or Massachusetts or something?

The dealer where it was purchased and maintained verified the low hours. The lady bought it in 99 with 30 hours on it and just never used it for more than a couple of hours at a time before parking it to hang out.

Buddy of mine scored a '98 Nautique Super Sport last november with 180 verified hours on it for $13K without a tower. Super clean condition and runs like new. Changed out belts, hoses, impeller & fluids. Installed a Pro Flight swoop tower and he's good to go. Here it is from last weekend at Pedro ..

i paid 17 last year for the exact boat with no options and 400 hrs. if the hour meter is the same as mine, its in the engine bay and can be unplugged so easy. i find it hard to believe that someone who would put so many options the boat would use it so little. those are some hardcore options for people that like to spend lots of time on the water - especially the shower and heater.

Same as with my buddies, GT40, shower, base stereo & heater just didn't have tower. We gutted the old stereo and added a new sound system and as said the tower.

That is a killer deal Razzman. I can get the one that I am looking at for $17k. I was mistaken about the shower and heater. Those are not options on this boat (I have looked at so many that I got them mixed up). But I don't need those options and would not have to do any upgrades at all because it has everything that I want/need. I think it is a great deal. But I am new to this. What do you think?

i know the boat your lookin at jared. i would say its a fair deal. but it has also been for sale for over a year. i think due to the price. even with the low hours it looks like it sat outside and baked in the sun for a couple of years. good luck with the boat hunting.

Rodney--Do you think that I should shy away from that boat?

DC it is sick. It so clean i couldn't believe he scored it for that price! Pro Flight did the blue powder coat to match the boat and it looks awesome! I sold him & installed the amps, sub & speakers outta my Moomba LSV cheap so he has a decent stereo system. Installed a dual batt setup in it for hime and he's into it $16,500 with a Tower Biminis top!

I paid 13k for this almost two years ago and it was in just fair to below average shape. It needed two skins to be replaced, new striping, all interior needed to be taken out and scrubbed, and a major buff and polish. It came with a single axle trailer. At the time the next closest priced boat was around 17k.

I have since added many upgrades.

This is ours.
Boat + Tower + Ballast (~2100 lbs auto) + Stereo = 20k

jared if that boat is right in the "middle" of your price range i would pull the trigger. i say middle cause im sure your going to want to add perfect pass. and a couple of other bells and whissles right off the bat to make it just what you want. to me the only down part to that boat is the one piece hatch in the back. but that is my own preferance. also if you have a small crew or family it would be a great boat. if your crew that u would take to the lake is more then 5 people i would shy away. its just 2 small of a boat. but then again it my own opinion.

Mine was craigslist, some guy threw it up because he had some babies.... went and looked at it, perfect shape and like 2 days later it was ours. Didn't even haggle on the price

check the classified ads on here, onlyinboards.com, craigslist, ebay, boattraderonline.

I have been looking for a SS/SAN for over a year now and still havent seen a deal like that. I did find one 01 SAN here for 22 which seemed like an insane deal, but I get skittish about those, especially if I have to drive half way across the country to go get it.

Thanks again guys for all of your help. I looked long and hard at that super sport, but ultimately decided to buy this 1990 Sport Nautique for only $7500. It is super clean--not a single tear or fade mark in the original interior--and it runs great. My boys and I are beginners, so we'll improve behind this boat and upgrade in a couple of years. Happy boating!Upload

I have more if needed but they are all from our 95' Supersport... the only downside to the boat is its narrow so it will list when you cut washing out the opposite site you're hitting but not a big deal.
