Question for you guys. My stereo is pre-Bluetooth, and I would like to make it Bluetooth compatible and suggestions for this?

Just get an aux bluetooth adapter.

I use a wet sounds WS-420BT for my bluetooth. But I will say the range of the bluetooth signal on the WS-420 is terrible.

Was thinking about an aux blue tooth adapter. Would the Aux cord power the adapter? Anyone have any recommendations on an adapter?

No, aux cord will be to pass sound from Bluetooth adapter to head unit. You’ll need a 12v adapter to power it. You could get a car audio Bluetooth adapter that usually goes for $20 or so from amazon. Those typically come with everything you need to power it. But you might as well do it right and get a more permanent solution like the Fusion MS-BT100. That will be more reliable and less prone to interference. Requires you to wire it in directly to your boats battery and head unit via RCA connections on the back (or you could get an RCA to 1/4” stereo combiner if your HU doesn’t have RCA inputs on the back and you just want to use the AUX input on the front). The Fusion unit typically goes for $45 or so.

If you are getting into wiring stuff, I would just get a new head unit. You can find them fairly cheap.

Look and Amazon, there is a ton of Bluetooth devices that play into your AUX port.. we have one in our 08 Supra and it works great. We have a Aukey one ..

Does your head unit have rear AUX-in RCA?
