So does any body have any idea how much it would cost to paint a boat. just the bottom from the rubber bumper down??

paint can be pricey. they typically wont paint under the boat either. unless you want to spend more money and strip out the boat so they cn flip it. my $.02 is look into a wrap. how bad is the gel coat?

I had my boat painted. Was $1500 to add flames to the front. I'm taking it in this winter to finish adding paint to the back half of the boat. i like the look better then a wrap but everybody has there preferance. I did slide the boat back on the trailer so they could paint it but didn't require flipping or anything like that.
