I got the Chaos Quad Rear fins for my new board and thought I would post up a few pics of the difference between Future's TMF-2's that came with the board and the Chaos Quad Rear so you can see the difference's. The Chaos QR's are kind of like a cross between the TMF-1 and TMF-2's from the looks of it. I only got 2 sets of riding in and I didn't run the TMF-2 so I can't give a review yet other than the board tracked and pumped pretty awesome with the QR's.

Thanks Timmy, hope you enjoy them. Overall they differ in a number of ways. TMFs/Nubsters are not designed to be used as rear fins, nor were they designed with wakesurfing in mind. They are designed as center tracking/stabilizing fins. They are not canted (angled towards the rail from top to bottom). The Chaos fins are designed as rear fins, designed to work with lead fins, are canted as quad rears should be, and well obviously designed for wakesurfing, although I like to use them in the ocean as well. The degree of cant is proprietary.

I have a 5-8 custom/retro/planning/simmons quad that I use in the ocean. I rode the futures seaworthy quads, but I have started running the Longer based TMFs as my trailers. My board works really well in small waves, but running all 4 seaworthys really stretches out my turn radius on tiny waves and running a twin and can get a little slippy as the waves jack-up for the shore. I've only ridden that set up in the spring and summer, but I really think It will still do well in bigger waves too.

I understand all of the discussion about the TMFs lack of cant and angle, but when your talking about a 1.5" fin, I don't think it matters much IMO. The TMFs are like $12 each delivered. At that price it was worth the experiment and so far it works well.
