I was reading an older post where someone stated that they thought the XS would probably be adequate. We have a Supra 21V and only anchor up for about an hour at a time to eat lunch and let the dogs off. The lake we go to is usually calm with out a lot of traffic or too much wind. Do you think the XS would be enough or should I just get the small? Thanks for any advice.

I went with the XS for convenient lunch time anchoring where I know the current/wind won't be that bad and I know that I can respond if it does not hold. Got it with the storage bag from Overtons. My old bulky fluke anchor when to the dumpster.

I used a coated 15lb river anchor that fit in the nose of the boat on my supra and it worked great for $30.00

Thanks GD.

Paul, that is what I have been using for the past couple years and it usually works ok, but this past weekend it didn't hold very well when we would get the occasional gust. I was just looking for something I could toss out and not have to worry about.

For a small boat the xs should be fine.

I wish the XS was made in stainless...The small is a little to big for my low hold requirements. The box anchor has been outstanding in sand bottoms and sets with a simple toss from the boat every time.

I have the small size on my 215. I think the XS would be fine for what you describe. It is not difficult for me to stow the small though, and the extra size and weight make it more solid.

I built my own after looking at them online. Mine is about the same size as the one in question. I have the same boat and no issues with it all. It holds fine in all of the environments that I have subjected it to.

The XS is probably just fine. I got the Small for my 21V just cause some times we are holding multiple boats on our anchor. The Small does fit just fine under the cushions of the front playpen so it was a no brainer for me. The small is still pretty small.
