I wonder who has a better strategy: Nautique or Mastercraft?

Both companies invest in names. Nautique has the best names for events (Masters, Nationals, Nautique Wake Open, I always thought Wake Games was a pretty weak name). The Pro Tour doesn't sound as exciting becauze the cumulative results matter most.

MC has the best names of riders (Harley, Shota, Rusty, @parxxx). But a Malibu rider (Phildo) keeps winning the MC PWT and the biggest event in wakeboarding these days is running a Malibu between the only live coverage of wakeboarding all year (Red Bull Wake Open). So why should MC drop lots of money on a whole tour? Maybe they want to cut it altogether but just started with jr mens and women's.

A healthy Harley winning events paid for by Nautique allows MC to pass the buck of running JR men's and Women's while keeping their logo at the top of the podium and attached to champions. Obviously Harley or Phil can throw down behind any of these or a Supra, Tigé, what have you, but noobs who have money than sense (the perfect customers) need a sweet looking boat for cruising, tubing, dangerously power sliding, and especially being seen in which includes leaning on it while trailered.

Oh Nautique...what's that about family? I didn't hear you the first three times

G Q it doesn't matter on who has a better strategy, the only thing that should matter is that wakeboarding is getting push for every division and aspect of OUR sport! If it is boat, cable, pro men, pro women or jouinor. We are progressing!

^ agreed, every topic on this forum has to turn into an argument. No wonder this forum has little offseason traffic

Good for Nautique. Can't say it's a shocker… but good for Nautique and the riders who want a shot to ride tour! Looking forward to the stop list!
