I have recently installed a Wetsounds 420 eq on my X-45. I would like to mount it in the left side of the dash, instead of under the steering wheel where it is now. This pic is before I installed the 420. I would like to have some sort of framework around it like a plate of carbon fiber, or metal that matches the rest of the dash.

Where would I get a flat plate of carbon fiber that matches the carbon fiber look that is above the cupholders on the sides of the boat?

Or where would I get a machined piece of alluminum that would match?

Not looking to spend a lot, but would like it to be spruced up just a little.

I get all my CF from here www.dragonplate.com

I'm sure there is cheaper some where but when I was re doing my dash they had the smallest sizes.

Spoonman,
That looks like what I am after! THANKS!

The McMaster stuff looks good too, but it is much more pricey...Could there be a quality issue with the cheap stuff?

I have had good luck with it. very easy to work with no splitting or anything. The veneer(sp) seems to work the best for me.

FYI the matte finish is more scratch resistant or does a better job hiding the scratches.

Dragonplate is a composite sandwich. CF/wood/CF. One side is glossy for appearance, the other without gloss for bonding. The core varies from plywood to wood fiber.

Since it's just cosmetic, dragonplate should work fine.
