Be very careful with where you're spraying. Plastidip peels well when it has layers of substance to get ahold of, it's much harder to clean up the little speckles overspray. Tape, newspaper, plastic, cover anything important. I would say detail after. You're not talking about the glass right? You mean the trim around the glass?

I'll second the above post-it's harder to remove with just a fine mist on anywhere than it is with layers.

As an update-I keep my boat stored outside at an outdoor storage facility. I know, I know.. If I had a house or the money that **** would be indoors. Nevertheless, I wanted to update you all with my dipped tower. IT'S COMPLETELY FADED. After doing a bit of research on the forums at dipyourcar.com (a company-NOT associated with Plasti-Dip the product), apparently all of the fluorescent colors are bound to fade due to their pigment. Wish I had known before I chose to spend $150 on orange paint cans and glossifier. Oh well. At this point I'm debating redoing it Plasti-Dipped black (which won't fade), or just spending the money to have it powder coated orange. Any thoughts my fellow wakeworlders?

Looking for people who have done the top deck of an actual wakeboard.

Did you experience peeling at the edges from putting it in and taking it out of board racks? I havent done one yet but it seems like this would be a problem area.

Thanks.

Faded like not florescent or something else? How did it hold up?

Sucks, but you got to see what it would look like and didn't have to spend a lot of money. I can't think of anywhere I would want it permanently, but I do have a few things I would like to try and if I like the results I'll powder coat it over the winter.

I have had plasti-dip on my wheels since my truck was new. I applied it in September of 2011. I clean them and pressure wash them regularly. They are not fading at all. I even pulled one off for fun about 9 months ago and re-applied. You could not tell which one it was a week later.
