I bought a Proflight mirror for My Proflight tower thinking it should fit. Guess what ? it didn't There wasn't enough articulation on the arm or mirror to work properly. I ended up buying a Sklone from http://www.boardstop.com/product_info.php?cPath=59_120&products_id=911&osCs id=tdpdd7lk8etcerrbn5a9qtprg3 Make sure to get the ball mount.

I bought the one from Pyramid Mfg. on ebay. Doesn't work. You can't get it to "square" up. I emailed him for help, but didn't get anywhere. Oh well...you get what you pay for. I will look into the one above. And, anyone want to buy my other one? Ha! (Message edited by soak_up_the_sun on October 07, 2006)

Lauri, do you think it would work on my Pro-flight G-force (2 3/8")? I think we have the same mirror. (Message edited by c4avalanchen on October 07, 2006)

Sparky, can you use the extreme mirror with that arm and ball mount? Also, how does the mirror line up with the windshield since the tower doesnt really line up with the windshield. Ive been thinking about getting one but it seems like the mirror will be right in my face. I thought the proflight towers were 1 3/4 not 1 7/8.

Rodney, I'm not sure. The problem with ours is that it just won't square up with the windshield. I think there is too much angle to the front leg of the tower, and it just doesn't "articulate" the right way! Check them out on ebay, it is a good strong mirror mount, and looks good...just doesn't work on our tower.

Gabriel, yes it does work as good as it looks! Steve, I'm not sure about the extreme mirror. I've actually lowered it a bit from that pic. It sits about three maybe four inches above the windshield and it squares up nicely to it. My tower is 1.90. I'll post some more pics if you want Steve. ...and the mirror is a CIPA universal windshield mount one, but you just take off the mirror from the other hardware. You wind up using just the mirror, the curved spacer/washer and the twist nut. It lines up nice and I've never had it move even the slightest.

Myself, I still like the billet look better. Carbon fiber is all over nowadays...too played out. It looks good on your boat Grant with all the black though.

Sparky: Carbon is played out???? Are you kidding Umm the last time I checked EVERY SINGLE mirrior arm was made out of aluminum so if anything IMO is played out its Billet. I understand the back dosent go with every tower but I personally love the way it looks.

Grant, I kinda meant in general. Since I'm in the trade, I see alot of it. Every puddle jumper I get into around the shop seems to have some on it somewhere. IMHO, billet's classic look is timeless, it'll always be "in" style. Like I said it looks great on yours. Would'nt look so good on mine.

The mount is by Skylon and the mirror is CIPA universal windsheild mount. Walt posted a link above for the mount. The mirror I know is available through Overtons.com or Westmarine.com

I just looked at Walts link and you can buy it all right there. Select "ball mount" arm and "ball mount" mirror and select your tower bar sive. (should be 1 7/8 unless you have a Chubby Pro flight tower)
