After changing out the prop on our 01' X-Star my good friend Darin wants to do something now with his boat to plane out better. He has a 99' Tige 21V Riders Edition with what looks like an OJ 13X13 1 1/8 prop. Any suggestions on what he should be using instead. Also he would be running around 2000lbs or less in ballast and around 4 to 6 riders. Thanks for your help.

I don't know the number for a 1 1/8 shaft, but I had a 13 X 13 OJ 3 blade and switched to a 12.5* pitch Acme 4 blade and it works great with 2000-3000 in ballast and still gives a solid top end for skiing in my DD. If he were to try to run more ballast than that, I would say running a 11.5* might be better. I am still really happy with the 12.5*.

Acme 525 oe 653 13x11.5 3 blade is the way to go.

or Acme 911 13x10.5 3 blade for serious power and fuel usage, no skiing with this one.
