I have seen one around here on our local lake. Sure are nice boats. A little loud when running but they sound great. I have also crawled through one at the local dealer that sells supreme. They aren't the fanciest of boats but they still have a nice fit and finish. I've really leaned towards one of these as the lake up at our summer house can get really rough and these 226's have the highest gunnel out there of any wakeboat

Nice, I don't generally like the look of pickle fork boats but this one works for some reason.

Does Supreme actually still put the ballast pump intakes on the transom still? I thought that style sucked because they were tough to prime and sometimes you had to drive backwards to get them primed. Why wouldn't they put the intakes on the bottom like everybody else?

I am not the biggest fan of the bubble graphic but overall the boat looks nice. We saw it recently in another thread but get a pic of the new dash.

IIRC, they use Jabsco pumps so priming is not an issue. But I still think it is stupid that you can't see the discharge on a pump that will burn up once it goes dry.

I have had no problems with the pumps on my v226 at all no need to go backwards to prime either.. And i feel the same way i want the new dash bad but everyone really like the dash, and it works great and easy to use .

The other huge downfall of having the intakes on the rear is that you have to be sitting still. Being able to fill as you are driving is nice.

TTG, I agree on that. I like being able to see the water pouring out when you are emptying the ballast.

From a post in the Wakesurfing section regarding the pumps. Not from me.

"it's a pro and con, when you go to the floor coast guard regs require shut off valves and you have to use certain pumps like Jabsco, and the manufacture can only put in 2, the Inland guys added another and cut a hole in the floor on theirs because it was too slow, I watched a video of them doing it. I absolutely hated that thing ( Jabsco pump ) on my Avy. and it was one at a time or 15 min for 2 tanks. When you go to the transom, you can have as many as needed, there is a Tsunami on every port, 3 min fill vs 5 to 6. Jabsco does not make it easy to replace impellers and the pumps are not cheap, no worries with the Tsunami, we have all tried to wear those thinks out with our fat sacs and they just keep on pumping" -

That dude was right about the coast guard requiring shut off valves on thru hull fittings but that's it, I wonder if he just made the rest up?

jabsco pumps are far superior to tsunami's. no question about it. and tsunami's aren't cheap either and they go the way of parachute pants alot.

uh supreme uses tsunami`s! I have pictures to prove it!

It is right around the same price to buy a Jabsco impeller as to buy a tsunami cartridge. Why not use the tsunami 1200 if the application is right.

I think then I am misinformed about how the ballast works. If they are using Tsunami's, then how does the discharge work? Does it go out the side? I can't imagine how you would rig a set of Tsunamis to discharge and intake from the same hole.

My buddy's 07 supreme 232 did not have Tsunami pumps, actually I think they were Simer pumps, but the point being they were not aerators back then.

As far as replacing impellers on Jabsco...how hard is it to unscrew 3 screws and pull the impeller out? I found it pretty darn easy.

where you need two tsunami's you only need 1 jabsco. pays for itself right there.

not really tsunami is like $40 each and jabsco is around $249.00
Old     (surffresh)      Join Date: Jun 2010       08-27-2010, 6:48 PM Reply
jabsco impellor is $30, it took alot of work but I found a Jabsco distrubtor and got a pump ready to go for $219 shipped(not for the public but as a dealer), after working again I found that I could get 3 Tsunami pumps for close to the same and they are faster, no question, game over, hey ya'll this is not a pump thread!!!

i was referring to the whole pump assembly. back to the boat. hope you get to pick it up soon.

Well umm kinda. Someone asked a question on the orientation of the intake/discharges of the ballast pumps. This thing is supposed to be the Enzo killer, gonna take some weight to do it. I agree get enough Tsunami pumps game over, even several of them take up less room than a jabsco as well.

My 2007 V212 has 2 tsunami 1200s per tank 1 fills the other dumps it out the side.

jabsco are still better for ballast. no way around it.

for the record, i have 6 rule pumps in my boat as opposed to 3 that i could have if they were jabsco.

The hold upp with this boat was the neww dash, they still have to work on it, it did not fit just right, so I decided to take the old and have the option of getting a new when it's done. The Tsunami pumps on the transom work fine and fast, just can't fill on the fly.
Old     (jacobs0222i)      Join Date: Sep 2008       08-30-2010, 5:59 PM Reply
That is cool that you are going to be able to get the new dash. I would take the old dash as well if i could get out and ride for a little bit of whats left of the season.

By the time you are done getting eveything ready to ride your ballast will be filled, i don't really see a reason to fill on the fly unless it takes like 15min to fill or something like that.

i cant say i care for the graphics, but nice boat. love the picklefork.

is it just me or is the V in the hull deeper than most wake boats? (at the transom)
most are flatter back there seems like.

You lost me with the "polka dots". Great looking boat other than that. Supreme definitely took a step in the right direction except for keeping that gel coat scheme around. We had 4 boats with that same gel coat scheme and I had to give them away. I hope you don't have to do the same.
Old     (bcrider)      Join Date: Apr 2006       08-31-2010, 9:18 AM Reply
Cory- The V226 does have the deepest V out of any other wakeboat out there. It also has the highest gunnel of any boat at 34" I believe. Both reasons that I have really considered this as my next boat. The lake where we have our summer house can get quite rough in a moments notice so the higher out of the water I am the better.
