Not me

But a friend of mine is looking for a home up to $2mil and wants to be able to dock their boat on their property or very near by. Could be salt or fresh. Doesn't need to be a glassy body of water. They aren't crazy into wakeboarding, more the thoughts of walking out for a quick sesh and then being done without trailering. The home could be a couple miles from a lake and

Ive exhausted Coronado Cays, Mission Bay, Alpine, etc. We will find something great, and then they will find some deal breaker (electric motor only lake, short term rental not allowed, etc).

They've now expanded the search to be within 2 hours of San Diego, which is why Im here...Any ideas on where I could look?
Ideally the home will be AirBnB rentable (short term weekly), which excluded the Cays for example.

Thanks in advance.

Guy asks about one of the nicest places in the country to live (SD) and you recommend perhaps the dumpiest place in the US to live (Barstow) lol. Gotta love WW.

Canyon Lake is a good idea for fresh water. Many good skiers & boarders come out of that lake.

If you want to be a little closer to SD (and beaches), check out this little secret: Cove Drive and Park Drive in Carlsbad. Other than Coronado Cays, this is really the only other place in SD County that you can have a boat at your dock right outside your back door. Carlsbad Lagoon will be better water conditions than San Diego Bay also. It's salt water.

San Diego's biggest detractor is its lack of any decent towed watersports opportunities
