Anyone know what body of water?

That is such a bad location. Avg temperature in May is 60. They should have had it in Texas.

Hope May is warmer than normal or the water is going to be freezing.

The cold water might work to Sacramento's advantage. I bet the guys from Florida don't have drysuits......

do you even need dry suits in 60*?

I skin it in 60* water. It just gives you more incentive to stay up.

Hey guys. Water can be all over the place temp wise there. I own the ski school there and you need to be prepared for anything. Altitude is hard on you as well. You have to drink a lot of water to handle the dry. Short suits are really what most acclimated riders use here. Depending on what part of the lake they use will determine water conditions. We will be on site as a sponsor to help. Boulder as a town rocks.
Welcome to all of you. I will be out there ahead if anyone needs water temp. Changes depending on runoff. Last year it was over 60 but three previous years it was real cold in mid 50's. Let us know if we can help.

Hey guys. I have been in touch with Boulder and Malibu this week and I feel much better about the event. The TV promoters will facilitate the tournament. Looks like Boulder will let the event be in front of the nice beach for great viewing. Malibu and Tommy's will just be the sponsor and not have to do the dock starting and resgistration and all the other event things that need to be done. We can concentrate on our booth and helping people from out of state feel welcome. We plan on having a big tent next to Malibu's VIP. We will research where the good bands will play and the best local food is for you guys as well as have a welcome area in our tent with some basic swag for all you guys that compete. We are super stoked to be the shop sponsor of this event.

Do you know if the Rez. is going to be closed off to boaters during the event? Just wondering... I would love to watch from my boat,in the rez. if possible. Depending on the weather, I think it should be a great tournament. With the mtn's in the background it should make for some amazing photo opp's. See you all soon.

What hotel is everyone staying at in Bolder??? I am trying to figure out where the Sac State team is going to stay for the weekend. It would nice to be close to the event and also be with all the other teams.
Anyone already have reservations??? if so let me know and we will try and tag along. I know that Chico and Davis teams are trying to do the same. It would be realy cool if we were all able to be at one spot.

If no one has made reservations I will look for someplace close and let everyone know.

Sincerely,
Chad McInnis

Mike,

The event is at Boulder Res. Looks like 90 plus competitors so this will be huge. Water is still cold so wetsuits are a must. We are working on packages for all the riders to help with savings on wetsuits or other gear. Friday night May 16th at the Lakewood Grill in Lakewood Colorado my classic Rock band is playing from 9pm till close. 4 blocks west of Wadsworth on Colfax. All the crew at Tommy's is stoked about the event. See you guys there.

Nice job to tommy's for putting on an amazing tournament. Perfect weather, the water was butta' all afternoon and the riders put on a fantastic show. The finals tomorrow (Sunday)should be no exception.

Just wanted to say again.... What an amazing tournament! Sunday proved to showcase some amazing talent. The sun beat down on us all day, the wind picked up and made for some less than perfect conditions at times but the riders all made it look easy!
Tommys, Malibu boats, USA Wakeboarding, Edge shave Gel, Jack in the Box and boulder Rez. (an to everyone else who helped put this together) did a fantastic job.
All the pic's and video I took this weekend will be available soon on the tommys web site, (www.gettommys.com) so check out the site or better yet swing by the shop and support our local dealer.
To all of those I met this weekend, (team members in the event)shoot me a PM with your contact information and as soon as I get the DVD's done I will send one out to you. I will be making 2 types of DVD's. One with raw photo's (stock footage) and the other with dubed music to video and slide shows. It was great meeting all of you this weekend and we hope you enjoyed Colorado!

Hey everyone. What a pleasure to meet all of you. Total class. Congrats to everyone. We hope to be even more involved next year. It is hard only being a sponsor and not being able to organize the entire event but that is our place at this time. However if any of you want to private message me on how I can do a better job next year, if we get the event, just let me know. My personal email is tommy.phillips35@yahoo.com

Remember if you need any gear just call and identify yourselves and we will make every effort to give you the best service in the world.

Your efforts were incredible and you guys we as classy of a group of young men and women I have ever had the pleasure to be around. God bless you all.

Kels,
Some of the pics I took from the tourney are up on the Tommys web page. www.gettommys.com then go to the photos and select the 2008 Nationals. Don't know if I got you in action or not. More photos to come also. Hope you have a great Memorial Day weekend.

Nope I don't see any of me :-( I was the one walking around with the busted up hand. The doctors at Boulder community hospital need to go back to school. They told me I broke my hand and Brett from VA tech that he broke his wrist. We both went to a hand specialist when we got home and neither of ours are broken. I guess I tore the ligaments in my 2 middle fingers

I do remember seeing you with your hand all bandaged up. Hope you guy's get your injuries taken care of and get healed up so you can get back out on the water.
I know that Tommys page is not fully updated yet (the photos from the event). Check back sometime this week. I gave them a bunch of pics from the whole weekend so you might find some of you and your friends. Take care and hope this weekend is going great 4 ya.
