I think it's great to see all of the manufacturers continually pushing each other to make superior products. Even if these new boats come out with ridiculous prices, they can eventually be purchased on the used market for much less.

Let's not forget the chaparral xtreme series.
By taking the e off of extreme , it makes the boats seem extra hard core.

I think the new SG should come with a "NO FEAR" sticker for the rear transome, also a small little cartoon character peeing on a malibu logo would also be a nice added touch.

Damn guys no wonder this site is slowing down. Where is the stoke? A rep from SC comes on to show you what is new coming down the pipeline and you just shred the boat.

This forum brings absolutely no value to boating. Sad to see what has happened over the past couple of years. You all have fun stroking your ego's. Off to iboats.

Just browsing Facebook and starting to see pics of the new SG popping up. Looks like the Skiers Choice dealer meeting is going on right now in Orlando. Here are some pics that have been on FB.

looks like the cabin is similar in size as the sc with a longer nose judging by the limited space behind the driver seat. I'm a fan of a smaller bow in favor of more space and getting bodies behind the driver so i'm not driving with a boat weighted lopsided. Like the look of it, just not a fan of the proportions

They only added 7" to the bow and the rest of the difference is in the main cabin. That means nearly a foot and a half in the main cabin. Pictures might be deceiving.

sure hope thats the case but from the picture above the guys knee is almost touching the back cushion. I think supra's layout is a little further back than other manufacturers layouts i prefer and the seat back behind the driver probably further accentuates that in pictures. In person i thought the sc felt bigger than the 21'8" it is so the sg will probably feel bigger as well. I sure like the exteriors though

Does anyone else think it looks exactly like the G series with different gel lines? Same chubby structure with a lack of flow.

I really like the looks of this boat! If the used demo prices are decent at the end of next season and I haven't gotten impatient and bought something else, I may pick just pick one up. Don't think I want to swing one brand new and I really like the SC so this has to be even better.
Old     (fullspeed)      Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Santa Cruz County CA       12-16-2014, 5:27 PM Reply
I don't think it looks like a ASR at all. It looks like a bigger SC to me, which I really like. Now all I have to do is win the Lotto.

Got a chance to ride this boat yesterday. Very impressed. Very nice surf wake with lots of push. Didn't get a chance to wakeboard but it looked really good. The price will probably be really close to the SE and given the choice I'd go with the SE. Performance is so similar but the SE is just bigger. Supra has done a great job revamping their line up the past three years.
We also got to run the SE with the new 575 Raptor. That boat was awesome!! Go drive these boats. Definitely getting into the Malibu, MC, CC conversation.

Sorry Readheadd, but these aren't wakeboard boats anymore, they are "Surf Boats". You will be lucky to see a single picture of the wakeboard wake in advertising. It's all about the "wave" in the marketing. Fisheye photos from 6 inches off the water to make the wave look like something from the ocean is now the norm.

The boat purchasers have spoken, and this is what they want.

That is one huge wake...who cares about the surf wake / wave when you have a wakeboard wake like that one.
Old     (501s)      Join Date: Feb 2010       12-26-2014, 8:32 AM Reply
I gotta say that wake looks awesome. It's kind of funny, the bigger the wakeboard wake the more air you get and the more flips/spins you can do. At the same time it makes it can make it harder for beginners to learn and can be more intimidating. At the same time a bigger surf wave means it's easier to drop the rope, especially for beginners.

That looks sick!!

Funny comment about the sack - one never really did need sacs back in the day if you had a boatload of friends... Is there additional anywhere else, or in the bow?

There's 1K in the bow stock, only had the one fat sac in the center to simulate more weight in the cockpit.
