136 for sure. I just got the Shane 140. Im 6'1 190lbs and I was considering finding something in a 138...The 136 will be perfect for you.

i'm 5'9" 160 and ride the 140 (doesn't feel like a big board at all), but i've always been a fan of bigger boards.

I'd say 136. If ya like the big board feel like Umali though, 140 is definitely dooable too. Look at Randall Harris, i've met him in person, he's gotta weigh less than i do, but i know he switches between a 140 and 145 board. So bigger is always an option, but i think 136 is probably the textbook size.

Im with joe.. I love longer boards because they have more pop and a much softer landing.....

I'm 5'9", 160 and I had the Shane 136 - wished I would have gotten the 140.

I had the same problem I was just about to buy the shane 136 then bought the 138 Transcend Plat. I am 5'9 160. I would have to recommend the 140. But I agree with what some are saying bigger pop softer landings. Ya I thought the smaller the easier you can throw a 136 around but that only depends on the weight(thats why I went with the CWB 6.6 lbs). If Im not riding my 138 I am always riding something bigger though.
..........Plus look at most the pros they ride 140+

to be honest, at 155lbs you arent even in the size range for the 140. the shane is designed to be ridden a few cm smaller than a normal board. so, in buying the 136, you would be riding the same as a 138-139.

the problem with you riding the 140 would be that you dont have the weight to dog the board into the water to get enough hold to cut correctly. the main reasons that randall harris can ride a 140+ is a. hes an absolute freak on a wakeboard b. hes riding at 28+ mph. the 136 will just be easier for you to control and LF does such a great job with their bottom designs that pop and soft landings wont be a real issue from one size to the next.
