I have a 2004 Centurion Elite-v and recently started hearing a noise from the transmission. It only happens when i'm in gear as slow as i can. when I accelerate, it stops and when I put it into neutral, it stops. it sounds as if a gear is hitting against the side of the casing? showed the following video to my mechanic who said that he doesn't know what that sound is. He also couldn't reproduce the noise in his shop so the next alternative is to have him wet test it. the problem is that it's intermittent. I took the boat out last night and drove it hard for about 10 minutes, then putted around for the next 30. only about the last 10 minutes before i was going back to the dock did I start hearing the noise again.

here's a link to a video of the noise. If anyone has any tips on what this could be, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'd hate to have to replace my transmission or wait until it damaged my engine too. Note that the boat is in gear for the duration of this video.

Thanks!
