Are boats built with a Canadian Hull ID worth less than a boat with a US Hull ID? She'd I be concerned that the X-Star I'm looking at was sold by a Canadian dealer?

I would think it still has the same US hull ID as they are all made here in the states.... I might be wrong, but this is the first I have heard of that and I would not think there would be any difference at all. Getting it all titled and imported would be more of my concern....

No Mastercraft is made in Canada. They all come from the states. I can't see a boat getting a different ID considering when they build the boat they don't necessarily know where it will be shipped too or who would buy it (as in dealer unless it was custom ordered)....I could be wrong. I can bring a boat up so there should be no reason you can't bring a boat down. You would have to have it and the trailer inspected. After that you should be good to go.

X3... Never heard of a US hull number and a canadian hull number from the same manufacturer. Does that mean there is a English hull number, or a France, how about Australia? The answer I'm 99.9% sure is…. No there is not!!

People don't buy boats from Canada and bring them down because their prices tend to be overinflated compared to in the US. So I'd be concerned you were paying to much and not about the HID.

I think I'm wrong and you guys are correct, and this appears to have been a totally stupid post. Fortunately, this definitely isn't the first stupid post someone has made on this site...JJ

I just double checked the info I'm looking at, and about three spaces before the Hull ID I just noticed "US". The boat was sold in Canada, and with that in mind I looked at the Hull ID and assumed the extra C in the ID meant Canada. Sorry for the dumb post.
