I got my supra launch 2000 for under 9500. After adding more racks, ballast, LEDs, and other things I'm almost 11,500 in on it.

Both the Centurion for 14k and the Launch for 11k are amazing setups for the price. Nicely done gentlemen. Did you guys get those in the 2008-2009 time frame?

I got mine in May, it was a bank "short sale". My friend owed 28k and it was being repossessed. Bank settled with me for 13k.

Lets revive a old thread...

1994 Sanger DXII
Paid $7500 for it
Came with custom bimini and 10ft pole, and a ice chest.. haha
Owner had jsut re-carpeted the bunks on the trailer and puts new tires on and re-wired the trailer as well
had 850 hours on it with a new motor at 450 hours because they didnt change the impeller
runs great.

Since I picked it up did a Hydropahse Ridesteady GPS with water and air temp
Still need to do a barefoot plate, Acme 13x12 pro, vortec heads, intake and a Comp Cams cam, and then a ProFlight Swoop tower

Figure by the times it is all said and done I Will have $11,550 into it including purchase and all upgrades.

2002 Supra Launch DD purchased with front, middle and rear plumbed ballast in 2012 for $17,500. I added Ridesteady cruise control system, heater and complete new stereo system including tower speakers and light bar at no out pocket expense since the boat had all those items and some other equipment stolen from it while in winter storage. I did all the work myself to avoid any labor and was super picky on getting online deals to avoid any additional costs beyond what the insurance paid for.

You sure that is an 02'? That looks like my first Supra I owned back in 03' Look at the last two numbers on the hull ID. Sold it and not sure how many hands it has been in since, but man I still love that boat!!!! Had the same black Rankin cover too. Great colors and great boat. Would be a strange coincidence with you Spokane being so close to Oregon....
Looks sweet..... Here are some pics of back then....

Diggs,
That is pretty crazy how similar they are. I'm pretty sure mine is a 02? I bought it from a Lawyer in Seattle and he had purchased it out of Oregon. Mine has a black trailer and red accents on the Supra logo on the side though. I think I saw pictures of your boat when researching the purchase of mine since he had crappy pictures online.

That would be a strange coincidence. I know they said mine was on the wrong trailer and some deal out of seattle discovered it a few years ago and they had to track down old paperwork. Go look at your Hull ID and the last 2 numbers will be the year "02" or "03". They guy I sold it to was in Oregon and that was 2004. I know he sold it in about 2007 and got a 21V.
Crazy if it is a different boat, but could be. Looks like the 03' graphics too. Maybe they did that in 02' also.
Regardless she is a beauty!!!

I will check out the VIN tonight when I get to the lake. The previous owner showed me pics of when he bought it and it had a red bimini top on it along with red tower speakers. Did you end up swapping yours to red stuff by any chance?

Yeah our Brendella runs top after the carb rebuild. the stringers and floor are solid. Interior and gel coat just needed TLC. It puts out a big enough fun wake for what we do.
I forgot I added a $200 kenwood deck with 4 speakers as well.

This winter I'm going to replace the rub rail, lower the bimini a foot or so and switch it over to electronic ignition because I hate messing with points.

The only thing I can't find is a board rack for the pylon. Anyone have one or now a company still making them?

94 Hydrodyne Grand Sport, somewhat ugly 90's styling, but doesn't bother me, and gets the job done.
~500 hrs when purchased last spring
$9k purchase price. Prrobably less than $500 into it since purchase, most of that to some trailer upgrades/repairs

Likely doing PP next year when it's in the budget, but not totally necessary as the wife's a good driver and the hull holds speed as well as any inboard I've ever been in.

Great multi-sport boat, as we do a bit of everything (board, ski, barefoot, etc.)., and lots of freeboard for the age, so can take a lot of weight.

Isn't the prettiest thing on the lake

but the kids approve

Great thread here. Hats off to the OP for getting it started. Love looking at all the boats, some of you guys found great deals and have awesome boats. It brings back memories of my younger days. I promise you that you young guys and girls are having just as much or more fun than us older folks with newer boats. Enjoy what you have.

Judging by the number of correct crafts I conclude there are a lot of smart people on this site. They are so well built they are great boats even when they are old. A used 1992 ski nautique was my first real inboard and it was trouble free for the 10 years I owned it. It was $15k when I bought it. My costs have gone up since but still having fun.

Got it in great condition 4.5 years ago with 270 hrs, a bad starter and bad alternator for $13,300. Replaced the starter and alternator for around $150, added a tower with speakers and bimini for $2k, perfect pass for $1,200, and a 2,500 lb automatic ballast system for $1,200.

I'm at about $18k "invested" and it's better than it would have been if it was an X-30 from the factory. I'm sure I've got another $1,500-2,000 or so tied up in odds and ends that I've bought over the last 4 years such as a new cover, budget stereo system, misc. small parts repairs, etc. but still under $20k for what I feel is a fantastic 23' boat.

The best thing about boats like the ones in this thread is that they're done depreciating, especially with the skyrocketing prices of new boats over the last few years propping up the used market value. You can use the boat for the cost of gas, insurance, and repairs without thousands of dollars in depreciation each year that goes by. You can't really put a price on fun with family and friends but it's tough to argue that people with $100K+ boats are really having any more fun than anyone is having on the boats in this thread. If anything I'd be much more on edge with a boat that cost 4-6x more and have less fun personally when out on the boat.

I've also got a great 2003 Yukon XL 4x4 tow vehicle that I found in pristine shape with a guy in Houston who only used it to travel to his lake house with his kids. It never had towed anything though as he kept the boat at the lake house and moved it with a tractor. 10 years old, stored inside with 68,000 miles, fully loaded and still had some legit new car smell for $12,500.

So I'm under $31k for a really nice boat + tow vehicle/daily driver "rig" that will probably never depreciate a dime as long as I feel the need to keep it. Both look and run better than most stuff that's less than 5 years old. The boat and the Yukon have had some minor gadget issues here and there (Gauges on the boat, seat controls on the Yukon, etc) but none that have ever affected the ability to operate them and get home safely. That's more than can be said for a lot of the new stuff. It doesn't matter if it's under warranty if it ruins your weekend or worse (Some of the 2012 MC owners have recently had whole seasons ruined with touch screen "warranty" issues. I know that applies to other brands too).

Jeff, nice maristar! That's an often overlooked boat so the prices can be quite good and they are top of the line MC boats. You scored.

Factory PP and ballast, 6.2 Merc, great tower, great wake, and best of all the rear facing "observers seats". They need to put them in every boat...
I love mine too and don't see getting anything else!

2003. Got it in 2009 with 350 hrs for $11500. Only thing wrong was a bad bettery, a hole in a ballast hose, and it was crazy dirty. Actually almost didn't buy it because it was so dirty and looked so bad. That and I couldn't find any info on them.

I probably spent another $3000 (including engine, different gear ration vdrive and prop) switching the perfectly good 6.2 to a diesel. Another $100 on Nautic Logic. The factory paddlewheel location would really vary speed depending which way you pulled the boat.

To me, wake is most similar to 2012 230 Nautique. I've ridden VLXs, Axis, Avalance, 210 Nautique, couple x mastercrafts.

its crazy to see that not that long ago boats crossed the $100k mark, now approaching $200k for these new ASR and Supra SE boats fully loaded. THATS INSANE. Axis came out as a cost effective co and already is taking massive market share and its raising prices. You used to be able to grab a new A22 for about 50k, now its tough to find one used for that same price range? And MC NXT, don't even...

Seems to me that unless you are pretty successful and over 30 that there is no way you are getting a decent boat anymore... what happened??

Understand. Yeah... we did well. Boat treated us well too. Never any problems, just wanted something a bit newer. Boat does show newer than it is. Most people wouldn't believe its 11 yrs old. Probably firm since they've only owned it for the summer and don't want to take a big hit.

Yea I wasn't ready to buy but had to when I came across the deal. I have access to an inexpensive zft0 tower that I would have to narrow. If that doesn't work out the new dimensions is my favorite but it is really expensive I was hoping for cheaper to be able to afford PP.

@Mike - whenever the cover is off I'll just sit there and look and daydream about all the stuff I wanna do to her and how lucky I am. I think if you just upgrade the tower that model can keep up with newer boats in the looks department

@William- My poor KCCO flag only made it 10 minutes before coming off and sinking to the bottom of the Pueblo Res. My fault for not securing it better

2005 Moomba Mobius LSV. Bought her about a month ago, asking price was 25k but talked them down to $21,400. Has $5000 in Wet Sounds. I'm in the process of modding and cleaning her up. Will keep it for about 3-5 years.

My 2000 Pro Air... I'm at about 7k including purchase price as of this week. Had it on the water last weekend running like a champ. Only things left to fix are the dead tachometer and finish plumbing the sacs in. Been working for 6 months scavenging for cheap parts and doing everything I can myself.

Here Is my baby. I just got it out of storage to get ready for this season. I picked it up last April for $19,500 from a very nice man who took very goog care of it. I replaced the head unit and interior speakers last year and plan on replacing the rest of the stereo this season, as well as some more balast. This is a beautiful great running older boat that I plan to have for a very long time.

Last year bought a 04' LSV loaded up, 260 hrs and hammerhead engine - $24k
Only tweak was 1100lbs bags in the back. Got two bags and two wake maker piggy back kits for $400 on ebay. Still under the magic $25k number.

My guess is sooner or later there will be a stereo upgrade, but hasnt happened yet.

Bought this 02' Super Air from a friend back in October, for 25k flat, with additional options & upgrades like FAE, custom belly ballast, 400lbs in pop bags, extra board racks, bimini, heater, etc. Was stoked after selling my previous boat a year & a half ago.

Sooooo glad to see this thread!! In a way, I think wakeboarding has gotten a little snobby with way more people "needing" a $100,000 boat than was the case when I got started back in the day. I started on a Glastron and my buddy built a tower for it. We rode the crap out of that thing!! We also rode behind his dad's Sea Ray and we loved the fact that we had the opportunity to ride behind anything. These are the boats that get people into the sport and I think they play a very important role in our sport. Keep 'em coming!

Agree with you 100% Dave! It's one of the directions of the sport that I don't like nowadays.

Thought I would post a pic and a little info on it. Bought this 2001 MC Prostar 195 from a guy in Tahoe with a little over 100 hours in 2011 for about 16 ish if memory serves. It was an 8 when I bought it, put in some elbow grease and it was a solid 9. Sold it a couple years ago to get a larger more family friendly V Drive. Actually sold to the neighbor who kept asking to buy it, that made it easy. To this day its still one of my favorite looking boats.....just classic looking!

Okay, so I am outside budget by $1k. Purchased this late in the summer for 26K. 2005 Sanger V215. I bought it from the original owner with 97 hours on it and garage kept its entire life. Came with the triple ballast system, a descent stereo and depth finder. Its going to get some upgrades this winter so I will be into it for more than 26 by next spring.

Picked up this 2005 Centurion Air Warrior T5 last spring. Paid $13,000 has 400 hrs on it. Love the slalom wake and wake with the ballast is enough for my wakeboarding abilities. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1452311917.431357.jpg

Every year I try to talk myself into upgrading. And every year i come back to this thread and realize my boat does everything a new one will, with 1/50th of the blood pressure 😂.

Took advantage of the weather and went out for an early spring run. Fired right up and never skipped a beat, you would have thought we just used it last weekend.
