Looking to send my 14-year-old daughter to a wakeboard camp this spring. Florida is my preference but I’m up for suggestions. If you enjoyed a camp please let us know. Thanks for the help.

I went to Ride the Spot a few years ago and had a really good time. Don't know if Darin is still doing the camp or if he has already moved to Hawaii, but Travis Moye was coaching there then and he is great. I've ridden with Murray a few times and he has always helped my riding so I would recommend The Boarding School as well. Two of the most fun guys in the sport.

Sean O'brien is a blast to not only be around, but watch ride! At least check out his video on the site of a handle-pass KGB-540!

I second Sean O'brien's camp. Him and Derek are very mellow and super laid back with very helpful instructions for all levels. Nice facility and great equipment. Let them know you heard it from the guys at Inland Watersports/JAG Marine!

Been to a few in FL, WestCoast Camps is hands down the best. Wakeboard camp & houseboat vacation all rolled into one.

the wakeboard camp is the best they break down triks into basic parts and makes learning them so much easier and if you are going to send her in the sprong they will have the new camp built with an indoor trampoline with harnesses andwakeboardcamp.com and chad lowe and kyle schmidt are the best coaches ever

I highly recommend West Coast Camps. Both my daughters 16 and 14 went last year and are going back this year.

I agree with Robyn (how you doing girl) West Coast Camps & Delta Wakeboard Camp for the left coast. My son has been training with Glen Fletcher at O'town for 4 years and I'm very happy with his progress. I think Team Valdez might have learned a few tricks there also

How many days should we do?

Go to the Wakeboard Camp in clermont. Chad Lowe is the man. What Max said about the trick breakdown is true. Their coaching makes so much sense. My sister and I went this winter and had a great time. Ive never seen her progress so fast.

We are may to september wakeboarders. 3 days at the camp at 3 sets a day kicked our butt. Had we been in season, prolly no problem. That being said I couldve worked on less stressful things at least one set a day. Instead I went balls to the wall 3 times a day. If your in the off season try 3 days. In season go for the whole week. Off season rates at the camp arent too bad.

In addition to the school, if you want to add a week near you, you can email Dave Briscoe. He travels all over the US coaching. His link is on WW. I have been riding with him this winter. It might be something to add with the school and a lot closer. PM me if you want more info

Doesn't C Lowe, coach at West Coast Camps now? Maybe thats just in the summer.

I went to The Wakeboard Camp a couple times back in the day and it was excellent. They were very good about teaching and having fun. Since then it has blown up and I would guess just got better & better.

As for West Coast Camps, two of my real good friends work there and i can honestly say they are the funnest, most down to earth, level headed group of coaches in the world. They are up to teach you a new trick or a life lesson. They make riding fun and learning hilarious and effective. Those that have been there know how blessed they are. Plus your kid will come back with a sweet nickname.
