I need new batteries for my 2011 MB Tomcat (343). I looking for recommendations on good marine starting batteries? Any thoughts on the Optima Blue top? Hoping to find new batteries tomorrow to get out on the water...

I was dead set againts the Optimas thinking they were over priced, then I got my new to me x25, it has 2 blue tops in it and I can believe the difference. I have a huge stereo and fill my bags no problem. Accidentally left the Interior lights on over night and the boat and fired right up. I'm a believer in then now.

They're now made in Mexico and cost 2x what they used to. I moved away from them personally. Others may have different info, but IIRC they had a now questions asked replacement policy. Then pro-rated. Now I'm not sure they even do that.

i'm a big fan of the costco dual purpose deep cycles. They have good amp hour rating for the price and costco's warranty is pretty nice if you should have a problem. I haven't in the three years they've been in my boat.

I run Superlex batteries from these guys www.republicdiesel.com They have worked really well for me. I run 3 group 31's on my stereo and a 31 starting battery.

I have always ran Interstate batteries in everything I have owned (diesel trucks, tractors, boats and cars) and had great luck with them.

I'm on my third season with a pair of costco dual purpose deep cycles. I think they are rated and 105ah and were $85 or so when I bought them.

I've been running the same set of XSPower Batteries D3100's for 5 years now. They have been flawless.

I've been running 3 Costco Dual Purpose deep cycles for over 4 years without issue. I use one as the starter and the other 2 for accessories.

I have run Optima Red in my Jeep, but we have always had really good luck with Deka in the boat. I was recently told that Optima was a good battery but now they are being made in Mexico and are not as good? But that is hear say.

I switched to the XSPower XP 3100's this last year. I have crazy playtime. All day full volume and still have playtime left.
