I know there is a difference in the base of a normal Liquid Force board and the Limiteds. Does the Limited base effect how the board rides at all? (faster, more slippery, etc?)

There is no such thing, as Ldt. base. The Ldt. boards can have the grind base or normal base. The grind base on a Ldt. board and traditional board is the same. That also count' if it has the normal base. It's the same.

The Grind Base isn't noticeably different. May seem a little grippier on the water but definitely smoother gliding on rails.

IMO, it was not a noticeable difference on the water however.

Yeah I cant tell a different just on the water at all. but on the rails it is definetly way better because it slides smoother and faster whether the rail is wet or dry

You won't really notice a difference on the water, but like Benj said, it's great on rails, even if the rails are dry.

Yeah, I live a long ways from any slider so I won't be using for that. Just wanted to make sure it wouldn't effect the ride behind the boat. Thanks guys

Stiffer and a little heavier because of the extra thickness, and I noticed that it's a little looser too because the fins aren't as deep.

yup ltds are a different ride to the regular versions. For example the S4 which has pretty sharp molded in fins are a lot mellower on the ltd, which makes it a looser board and not quite as grippy.

Well I like my boards on the looser side. Just ordered a Lyman 139 LTD board, so hopefully it will be just right.

Thanks benj! I've been a little nervous about getting it cuz I've ridden the shane for the last 3 years. I was looking for something different and ended up deciding on the Lyman. Can't wait to give it a go!
