I have an '02 and we used to run about 9.5-10mph with the center bag full, left rear full and a 350# sack laying across the left (passenger) side. I upgraded my bags from boarders paradise and removed the false walls in the v-drive section so the center bag is almost 1800# and left rear is over 700#. You can literally sit back 25-30ft and ride up to the platform without really trying.

Dude lets see the pics!!! I can get my 87 Supra SunSport a lil bit above waist high with only ~1200lbs or so and a couple people on port rail. Lots of pics in my gallery under this same name at WW.

HT -

Unless you mean that you're adding additional bags to the front, there's no way that the center bag is 1800 lbs. The GG center bag is 19x19x88 which equals 1,143 if completely filled to the seams. In an '02-'06 SSV this bag doesn't fill all the way to the seams because of the narrowing bow. At most you are getting 1,000 lbs out of a center GG sac.

I have a 2004 SSV and here is my set up (for a goofy rider):

Center full (1,000 pounds), right rear GG sac full (approx 700 lbs), and then another rear GG sac (700 lbs) moved from the left rear to the right mid cabin (behind driver's seat). The wave is really nice at about 10 mph. I can even surf it with only a driver in the boat. With added passengers it only gets bigger.

My set up (05 22ssv) for a left foot forward rider
800 in the center + 450 sac in the bow (sometimes I empty the center about 25%)
Left compartment sac completely filled (600lb GG sac)
Additional 450 sac laying on the left side of the passengers seat
Wake Plate at 75%
Speed between 9.5-10.0
And someone sitting on the back end of the boat
The more people on the side you're surfing, the bigger the wake gets.

05' 22ssv - here's what I'm running, goofy foot;
Center locker 800 lbs full
400 lb bag sitting on top of center locker seat
750 lb bag in starboard rear locker (probably fills to 650-700 and fills the locker)
400 lb bag sitting on rear starboard seat
Wakeplate @ 75%
Speed 9.5-10.5 (trying to play around with this)
Wife driving, 2 kids sitting wherever they want

Seems like a pretty good wake to me, but I haven't surfed anything else.

Richard, doesn't matter if you believe or not but it is the truth and the center hatch/pullup pushes up 6-8" when full and the rub rail from the bench seat back was almost completely underwater. The problem was stopping/turning when a rider fell as water rushed in the rear, flooding the boat and the bilge ran constantly. Have many friends to vouch for it as well but reality is, I quit surfing and was only offering advice which is what this thread started out as. The bags sit in the boat, never to be used as I only wakeskate now and have no need to fill them. The stock wake allows me to go W2W on a 70' rope but I'll ask a friend and brother in-law if he still has some pics and post them. But in any case, was a ton of fun at the time. I can't imagine paying for gas now and doing that all day again.

2003 SSv set up for a goofy rider

Center bag full and pushing up the seat--apprx 1100#
right rear bag full at 750#(I removed the rear carpeted boards to allow this to fill completely)
3 people in boat one at right rear and one in front center

wakeplate from 1/2 to full up

speed 10.5

wake is large and firm but not very long--I am working on this--I will add some pics later
