not many of you on here probably know about him unless you ride down south being that he kind of stays under the radar but as you can see, he destroys the boat and cable. really fun to watch ride.

edit* they have to wear a helmet behind the FGCU boat from which he has told me has very little weight in it at all besides standard ballast

That was great- I really enjoyed his style, made a lot of difficult stuff look pretty easy.

Travis, that's what he tends to do and this video didn't showcase half of his skills. He makes everything look so easy that it can get annoying ;). Kevin doesn't fall...ever. But don't try and ride his setup unless you want your feet to fall off lol
There are two tricks I have seen him not be able to land, and that was a bs 7 and a double to blind and that was just one day of trying. I'm sure it would be landed the next day.
One day we were at Rixen and asked what trick he should learn that day so I say ts bs oa 3 "like Harf does it". First lap he does the batwing, second lap he does the ts bs oa 180 with late nose grab, third lap ts bs oa 360 perfect, 4th lap ts bs oa 540 and just pops the handle. The kid has more talent than anyone I have seen at Rixen since Jimmy was there. After 6 months of riding cable, he had double S bends. That is not normal

Kyle thanks for the kind words! But... Hey man when are we gonna ride? I havent seen you in like forever? Name a cable or boat to ride on and i'll meet you there. If you wanna hit up our boat and ride off an old xstar (x-1) for old times sake just let me know (of course the wake prlly wont be nearly as big as yours, but we can load it up with girls that should make up for it haha), then we could head over to revolution and shred after.

yo dude, sick riding. i was gonna ask what cable was in that vid that kyle posted. i have sort of recently become a little cable junky after just learned my first air tricks this year. so far i have already been to 3 different parks this year. not bad coming from chicago kid whose normally ass deep in snow this time of year.

if i'm ever in FL again soon (i assume the cable in that vid was in FL) i'd like to hit it up.

He has some really good technique with landing leaning over his toes both switch and regular which makes those tricks look real good.

Kwipp, i'm in Tampa doing my rotations working about 60-70 hours a week. Haven't had a chance to ride at all. I've gotten to the Tampa cable maybe 4 times BUT I have a rotation in west palm in march so hopefully if I get some time we can hit up rixen or a boat if you have any boat hookup around there? Or maybe that Saturday I drive up we can odub or revolution depending on which road I take. I haven't hit revolution yet. I went to Tampa about 2 months ago and on my third lap went for a kicker bomb and tore my the meniscus in my LEFT (good) knee. Inoperable like the right knee because of all of the previous damage to it, only option was removing the ENTIRE meniscus leaving me bone on bone and in worse shape than I am now. Getting old (24) sucks.

And I was riding a "flex" board for the first time. Never making that mistake again.

Tom, yeah that's revolution and apparantly it's a really high tower so it will be good for your airtricks. I haven't rode there yet either but want to try it out although it looks a little lacking obstacle wise. That's why Kevin could do the double s so easy hahahaha jk jk

Nick, we all know you have asked Kevin several times to watch Kevin in the changing room at rixen but Renee wouldn't let you...

Thanks for the compliments guys! Kyle I never thought i'd hear the day that you were riding a flex board? Rixen forsure which requires a cga vest now if you havent heard, and I can always try to swing a boat set I just never know whos going to be in town. As for Revolution it is awesome for air tricks, something about the tower system being that its 5 towers and possibly higher makes it great for air tricks. The Obstacles are def slacking but its usually pretty empty which is awesome/bad at the same time cool because theres never a line but bad because thats less money to invest in better ramps rails etc. Def the cable I want to start attempting double s to blinds though.

And to add to it, Kevin is my boy and kills it and never gets recognized for it. The sad thing is, your "man crush" statement wasn't said jokingly. Wakeboarding isn't a competition but it always seems that way when you and Kevin ride together except that you are the only one competing. He is supposed to be one of your friends and riding buddies and instead of giving him props on a video everyone likes, you just make a snide comment and leave it at that. No j/k or haha or follow up line "nice video bro etc etc".

I'm just trying to help bring his riding out to the public (and after talking to kevin and hearing some pretty sick news, i did just that) because he definitely is someone that has a truly special talent on a wakeboard, and is completely unaffected by it ;). Before break he landed a HS NOSEGRAB OSMOSIS 5 4TH TRY. I posted the video to get him some exposure because EVERYONE reads this sites. The pictures that Matt Roy has been taking of him are definitely magazine worthy, and Kevin is a magazine worthy rider. You can always tell when a person has comes from boat to cable and a person that comes from cable to boat. A boat rider even when riding cable still has boat riding in his head, and you can see that when Kevin rides cable. A boat rider learns a trick on the cable not for the cable, but for the boat.

A cable rider always has cable riding in his head when he is riding boat, and you can see that when they are riding boat. Their edging is different, the way they do certain tricks is different, the way they do the SAME tricks is different, their stance is different, their posture is different. If you ask a boat rider who has switched to mainly cable if they want to go ride boat or cable that day, they won't think twice and say boat. You ask a cable rider the same question, and they will say boat (but in their mind wish they were on the cable). That is the difference between you and Kevin, Kevin is a boat rider.

Wow! just WOW!!!

So does he not have a board sponsor? It looked like he was rocking Ronix bindings and an HL board.

Great style!

Nope, no board sponsor or really any sponsors for that matter. A lot of times he is able to get boards at a discount from friends that have sponsors but most of the time he pays full price just like the rest of us...crazy, huh?

ive seen you and kevin ride together at rixen probably 10 times but regardless, kevin was the one who brought it up to me. He also said the kid who edited the video left out a bunch of his harder tricks, but fortunately the companies I have been talking to for him understand because they really like his style in the photos.
